I think I'm one of the few people who wasn't that impressed with "Bizarro". I thought the whole episode felt rushed or something. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I just wasn't feeling it. I'm usually almost shaking with excitment when I watch Smallville premieres but I found myself frowning through most of this one.

Watching Bizarro Clark was just like watching red k Clark or possessed Clark. The only thing different being his voice, which wasn't that diferent. The fight scene left me feeling cold to. I didn't really care, and that's not good.

And what are they doing to Lex? he's becoming pathetic. Thank goodness Michael is leaving. I love Michael but it can't be any fun playing Lex anymore. They've started to backtrack him like they do with Lana.

The best scenes for me were any that involved Kara. I can tell I'm really going to like her already. And it'll be nice to watch her have fun with her powers instead of whinging about them.

the kid and dad were fine, cuz Clark didn't use his heat vision on them...

Also would have been nice if they'd remembered to have him use his super breath to blow away the super hot steam he created... Its a shame how that kid and his dad were burned to death... oh wait, they over looked that part.

I gave it an 8. I thought it was decent but dead last in my rankings for best SV premiere. (However, Phantom was my least-favorite SV finale, so I think that was part of the problem).

Had some epic moments though. Really liked the theme of the sunlight. Great shots of TW looking VERY Supermanly.

It would be a good thing to read the Kryptonsite rules before responding too.

Whatever would have happened in real life isn't really my concern. People wouldn't conveniently get knocked out all the time either. I thought it was very Supermanly.

I loved this episode! I've just watched it on the computer! I finished season 6 and so badly wanted to find out what happened, because of the cliff hanger! I haven't watched any more of season 7 though, so i'm still wondering how Lana managed to get to China after Lionel see her blown up! Hum?

This ep was very super but I don't think that they would get rid of Bizarro tht quickly. But now i know that he has to become superman soon according to the mythos. The Lana bit a the end was good it at least showed that my dad and my suspisions were true we allways thought that she got on the white van that passed right before the jeep blew up.

I didn't have any negativity towards Bizarro. It was a superb episode. I enjoyed it tremendously. In the beginning, it was cool to see Clark save the little boy, his father and their dog from the huge wave that was heading towards them. He aftewards looked at the boy, nodded his head and sped off. The little boy looked on in amazement and said, "Whoa!" I especially liked the conclusion with the music by Kelly Clarkson and the introduction of Clark's cousin Kara (aka Supergirl) That was very exciting.

I watched this episode today. When Clark evaporated the water with his heat vision was great, but did anyone notice the way Clark left the little boy to tend alone to his Dad, who'd suffered a serious concussion.

How rude.

This was a good episode, not great but still very good. Too bad the rest of the season didn't live up to the promise of the premiere.

10/10

Best season premiere Smallville has given us IMO. Weakest season for me, but boy, what a beginning for it!! Only "Zod" can compete with this. And no, I don't really care for "Crusade" except the flight. (Good god, the producers made Clarks active word saving side his bad side?? Way to make a pointless season there...)

"Bizarro" really is like a movie. If you look how the scenes were crafted and presented to us, it just was amazing. This episode was the epitome of Clark. I just love after he gets up (from a fallen tree trunk!!) to confront Bizarro and the first thing is:

"Those people, I have to get back to the dam."

And the part where he evaporates the water saving the kid and giving a Superman knod.

"Woah!" Indeed.

The teaser is the best part of the movie, but the rest is still the best Smallville. I like how the Martian Manhunter gives Clark a speech about Bizarro. And how Clark asks how to stop someone who has all his powers and none of his weaknesses. And then MM hints him that there are more things on this earth that give him power and Clark realizing the yellow sun.

This really hasn't been pointed out sooner. Yeah in "Perry" his powers go on-off but he doesn't really assume that the sun is the source of his powers. Or like in "Nemesis" where after getting out of the hell hole, basking in the sun heals Clark. We aren't told that but there's no other conclution we can get from that scene.

The fights with Bizarro, although brief, are just awesome. Really these are the fights I want to see. Not maybe super punches like that but still that atmosphere where Clarks just like:

"Is that all you got?"

Just love the sh*tty grins Welling makes at...well himself. As Bizarro but also Clark. He has just this invincible badass attitude that I want to see more in Smallville. Just like in "Combat"

It's ironic that the moment where Clark is at his awesomest and most Supermanly...that the rest of the season we don't get any of that. There was a writers strike...so what? They made 21 episodes while other shows didn't do none or dropped the standard 22 to 13...so what? I will give them credit but for me the episodes to come are just one of the worst of the show. Seriously "Blue" and "Quest"? Whatta h*ll?? Ok rant over...

Season 7 should have been like they said in "Bizarro" Clark has hold on to the life on the farm for too long. In "Kara" he tells Lois he'll be heading up north (to start his training I presume). I understand that he has to take care of Kara and here he starts his training. AND not in season 9. Look it up and you'll see. Jor-el tells him that his training begins with Kara. The actual training is BS but the idea was cool.

Heck I'd even go for Clark joining the Daily Planet with Lois (she got an awefull intro to the DP, seriously only season tu f*ck up Lois too??) But Im glad all got worked out in S8. (Im not that sad that Al & Miles stopped producing...sure they created the show, but they also kept it down. Peterson & Souders are MUCH BETTER as seen because of the stuff they did on S6 and specially now at S8, 9 and 10.)

Long story short:

One of the best episodes of Smallville!!

I gave this particular season premiere 8 out of 10 stone-faced doppelgangers for being a pretty cool start to a "meh" sort of season. Learning the truth about Chloe's meteor ability and the price it could pay was pretty interesting, and of course, I liked that she was alive after worrying about her fate over the summer. The whole "Lana in a blond wig" element? Pretty ridiculous... I liked the near-team-up between Bizarro and Lex, and to see at least a SLIGHT chance that Lex could end up going through a temporary redemption arc (even though that's not really what happened at all). Kara's introduction was enigmatic and slightly melodramatic, even if it was just a cameo appearance. I liked Clark's emotional range in this episode, and Lois had some nice moments, too. Lionel's mysterious abduction, I remember, threw me for a loop at first. So yeah, it was a pretty good episode, but hardly my favorite of the season premieres throughout the years.

Bizarro was a continuation of Phantom that saw the emergence of Bizarro as well as the emergence of Kara Zor-El, Clark's Kryptonian cousin. Three people flew in this episode and Clark wasn't one of them. They showed Lana towards the end as AlMiles' way to spite the viewers who hated Lana and Clana. Peterson and Souders are good with season premieres.
