At the end of "Truth" after Chloe is cured from the 'Levitas' gas, dont you think that Lex would have completely re-instated the program since he now knew that there was a working cure for the gas. It would become his new favorite drug. He would have Clarks secret in no time.
Well, on the subject of him finding out Clarks secret, i know, he could have just set up hidden camera on or near the Kent farm a long time ago. I mean he figures out Aqua man's secret after a day of him being in town. Does he figure that is just a fast swimmer with strength? Nooooo, he even knows that water gives him his power. Where is this incredible insight when it comes to Clark.
When your watching Smallville beginning at season 1 to present, think about how many times Lex could and should ask Clark this question... "Clark, how did you get here? Where is your car?"
While i know, this is some really old subject matter. I just cant help but think about it.
Anyway, just thought i would ramble a little bit before work this morning.

Trouble is that there was only one dose of the "cure", which Clark "pulp-fictioned" into Chloe's chest to save her. Jonah Doyle had gone underground after his dishonourable discharge from the military so would hardly be cooperative with any records or "recipes".
And on Lex's lack of uncovering of Clark's secret - this is Smallville - it's full of "you're kidding, how stupid can you be?" moments. It don't always make sense but don't let it ruin your enjoyment of this great show.

Ahh, that was the only dose of the levitas sirum. Well that makes more sense then.
yea, i only point out story flubs to shows that i love. nothing can ruin the enjoyment of the show by any means. If i didnt love the show, i wouldnt have even thought about these things.

It doesnt say anywhere that there is only 1 dose of the cure. Even if there was, and the doctor was underground, I dont think it would stop Lex.
My favorite Smallville continuity boo boo is when the safe house blows up with Chloe in it. The house blows up the moment the door is closed. And then it shows them next season running underground real quick. There would never have been time. And i know some people would say that the scenes are shown in different time perspecives or whatever, but nothing can change the fact the you can actually see them through the glass door when the house blows up. Your right though, I only notice these things on the shows i love, or i would never notice them at all.
Its like on Star Wars episode 4, when Princess Leia says "I love you", and Han says "I know". He is wearing 2 different shirts in that scene. Its funny to me, but i love it just the same.

Actually, I've always noticed that when Chloe's house is blowing up, they seem to direct a lot of attention to Lionel's face, particularly his eyes, as though we are seeing what he is visualizing as far as Choe goes. So to me, that seemed like a very intentional "boo boo".

That's a really interesting perspective! Well thought-out. I'm not sure if they were going for that or not, but I definitely can see where you're coming from and it almost makes Lionel all the more evil if you feel like you're inside his head as he visualizes this.
The plothole with this that they never really resolved that always bugged me a bit was when Lois said that it's not Lionel's style to blow up the safehouse, that it was too "thuggish" and "smacks of desperation...all the things you aren't...and you must be wondering how you got this gift...or are you being set up?" And then we see Lionel's worried expression.
I always assumed, after watching the season in full, that it was Genevieve Teague, because she got him released for the stones later on. But they never really cleared this up at all. When I asked the "Smallville" writers (I got to ask them some questions because I was one of the finalists in this Smallville Vlogger contest a while back), they said that Lionel is sneaky and may change styles from time to time to keep his opponents unsuspecting. So basically, their answer seemed to be that Lionel was the one behind Chloe blowing up. I'm not sure if they had this fully planned in the season or if they purposefully left it up for interpretation, but I'm glad to have it finally answered to some degree! Stuff like that wouldn't bother me if I didn't love the show so much either, I totally agree with you all on that! Fantastic series and season three definitely was one of the finest.
