So most of us, I'm sure, know that J.K. is planning on writing the definitive Harry Potter encyclopedia (think the appendixes to Tolkien's Lord of the Rings) where she will reveal both backstories for the characters and also what happened to them later.

After the vagueness of the Epilogue on a great many matters (what happened to Percy? Did he stay in the Ministry? What does Draco do for a job? Where do Ginny and Harry live? Grimmauld place? etc., etc., etc.) I am very much looking forward to this.

I know Jo said it wouldn't be for several years but still...

She said in a later interview Percy works as the right hand man for Kingsley.

As for where Harry and Ginny live. Id be willing to bet they live at Godric's Hollow rather than Grimmauld Place.

Draco is probably a collector of ancient artifacts and the occasional dark artifact.

she also said that hermione worked for the care of magical creatures office and house elves rights and later for the department of magical law enforcement. and ginny played for the holyhead harpies and ron and harry worked as aurors so she's probably just going to elaborate on that which i think will be amazing.

Yeah but the interview she did after the auror thing she said that Ron works at Weasley Wizard Wheezes with George. So it'll be interesting to see which is right and what she ends up putting in the Encyclopedia.

And other stuff. Don't you wonder whatever happened to Gilderoy Lockhart?
What about Hagrid? Victor Krum?
Etc., etc.

I just want to know the details, the rest of the story (again, like in LOTR appendixes).

I'm obsessive that way. ;)

I wonder whatever happened to Hagrid the most. He was there from the beginning, told Harry he's a wizard, took him to the Dursley's - all that stuff. I'm extremely glad Rowling didn't kill him off and I always wondered if anything noteworthy happened to him or if he really did just continue as the Care for Magical Creatures teacher and lead an uneventful life.

Gilderoy Lockhart never recovered and I think that she said Krum settled down with a Bulgarian girl.
