Has anyone during the break watched lois and clark with dean cain?

during this long and dreadful break i have been killing tome with season 1-4 of lois and clark the new "actually pretty old now" adventures of superman, which actually isn't that bad. and another thing if the budget for that show wasn't that big and he flew a good number of times" which actually looked pretty cheesy sometimes" why cant clark fly, the stuff on smallville looks more high tech and i'm pretty sure they got a bigger budget than that show did. Well does anyone have any thoughts

I never found the flying on L&C to be cheesy. I agree that smallville easily has the budget for flight, I mean we've already had superjumps and kal-el ripping the door off lex's plane since back in s4. Showing flying onscreen shouldn't be a problem.

I'm not sure if smallville has the budget to show flying every week though.

I watched a little bit of it. I stopped in the middle of Season 2. The writing of that show is superb. It's cheesy but oh so gratifying. Clark uses his powers like five times per episode, in all sorts of creative ways. I enjoy seeing the vulnerable side of Lois laid bare a little more. And Dean Cain is all grown up. No teen angst here. Yum!

I've watched all four seasons as they came out on DVD. I also rewatched key episodes of Lois and Clark earlier this year. But no I haven't been watching it during the break. It is a great time-filler though.

And yes, of course I've been watching LnC. It was a great show. When will we get cool advantures like that on Smallville? LnC was still a great show with not even 1/3 of the drama we are stuck with now.

Of course I won't participate in insulting Smallville just to compliment LnC. I love them both and there's no reason they can't be completely different from each other. Smallville started as teen drama, you don't have to look far to realize that a show that started as teen drama is going to retain some drama.

LnC was always a romantic comedy. Big difference.

Yeah Tempest rocks. I have actually watched around 6-8 episodes during the break.

Tempus was awesome, it was a shame they finished the series after four, they left us on a massive cliffhanger. Who did the baby belong to? Would pay good money to see a season 5 :D

I've been rewatching L&C this summer and I love it all over again. My dh thinks their cheesy and yes there are some episodes that are a bit over the top but most of the epis I love. DC is the best looking Superman ever imo. I'm just starting season 4 and there are some really great episodes here. TH turns out some great and thoughtful performances. And we get to watch DC shirtless often which is always good.

I agree. Tempus was a great villain. He was smartly written and well acted by Lane Davies. I also thought that John Shea was a great LL.


What I love about L&C is that they are HAPPY! One thing I really miss on SV. Though I don't think you can compare the two. L&C was fundamentally a romantic comedy and SV is a drama. They are two totally different worlds that have only the myth of Superman in common.

I'm excited to see Dean Cain in SV this season.

Yeah, and when he is on a wire, his movements are totally giving it away. He always tries to manipulate his body in ways that would look cool if he was flying fast, but at the speed he's actually moving, it looks really lame.

I do have seasons 1-4 though, and they are really good IMO. I've been watching them to pass the time, yes, and re watching seasons 1-5 of smallville starting now for the second time before 6 comes out. I'm counting on heroes to help with that as well.
