Did y'all see the latest 2007 KryptonSite Awards choices for "The Best Scene"?

I want to know where's the option to choose "NONE OF THE ABOVE".

These options are ridiculous!

Firstly, they're ALL about ships EXCEPT ONE. ("Justice")

Three of them are about Clana drama scenes, and not even the best ones IMO. --Two of them being from the SAME EPISODE, "Promise".

Two are about Clois. ("Hydro" kiss, and "Crimson" leap)

and get this; one of the choices is,

"Red!K Clark lets his feelings out"

????How is that even a scene? which scene are they talking about??


...and that's it!!! ???:confused:

What's wrong with this picture???

Especially when K-sites own polls show that they DO NOT prefer Ships over the Mythos action, etc.
I just don't get it.

If they were only going for scenes with Shipper Pairs they should have definitely included the scene in "FREAK" where Clark has to burn Chloe, IMO one of the most well-performed and suspenseful scenes!


Out of the entire season, there were a lot of WAY BETTER scenes than these choices!

If this is how the options are gonna stand, I will have NO CHOICE but to pick the "Justice" one by default. :(

Actually, I didn't even bother looking at the choices for 'best scene'.......I just voted for Chloe/AM, that's it. I somehow figured the rest would be painful Clana/Clois stuff.
I still can't believe how bad last season was, actually.

Why couldn't they added... the fireplace scene in lab... or the DP in the end of Freak? That would be better then the Promise scene...

yeah, that's just it; the K-site award choices don't offer a "None of the Above" option, so neither do I.

So I'm at a dilemma; do I vote for the lesser of the 4 evils, or do I withhold my vote altogether.

So far I have withheld my vote. It seems totally unfair that most of the Choices are about Clana or Clois and there are no choices involving a Chlark scene.

I think they should have specifically worded it as "Best Scene, that does Not Involve a Ship". There are plenty of those to choose from.

I wasn't really happy with the choices either. (My fav scene this year was the GPS removal scene from Freak, which, IMO, is one of the best scene from the entire series.) I ended up voting for Justice because it was the only scene of the ones listed that I didn't hate.

The thing is, that the scenes listed were the ones that got the most nominations. It just so happens that more people nominated Clois and Clana scenes.

In a way, you're asking for Craig to exercise editorial decisions over the nominations. That doesn't seem fair to me. I may not be happy with the nominations, but I think they were democratically decided, so I won't complain about them

But there still were some awesome scenes! In my case, too many to offer any to be nominated in the first place. That's probably the major problem here, :\

How about :when Clark sneezes in "Sneeze"

the several cool scenes arrow scenes in both Arrow, Rage, and Reunion ( and the statue falling off and killing that guy)

Labyrinth had some seriously amazing scenes. as did Nemisis, Noir, Freak (remember the Clark save in Tobias house? how cool was that?), and Phantom.

idk, Maybe Craig should have offered some suggestions to refresh people's memories and give them something to nominate from in the beginning instead of letting a lot of ppl just not submit anything because the span was too great, or they couldn't decide on a particular one to nominate. :\

yeah like y'all said... my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE scene this year was the Chlark burn scene in Freak!!! it was AMAZING!!

AM is SPECTACULAR AS ALWAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she deserves so many awards it's insane!

I did nominate that scene and I was shocked, SHOCKED, it wasn't one of the finalists. To me it's a no brainer. And you're right, I don't think the show has ever had a more suspenseful scene.

No there hasn't been a turn out of votes yet. We won't see that until Sept probably
There were nominations submitted, and that's the problem, there wasn't enough of a variety in the selected nominations.

Why doesn't it appear to be an accurate REPRESENTATION?

Well for one thing, in the Episode polls, not quite 29% rated PROMISE a "10"(best), with over 20% giving it a "1" or "2" (worst).
it should be noted that PROMISE had the largest number of total voters as well! (433)

Also the votes were not consistent or "top heavy" as several other episode's votes were, showing that these other episodes had ratings overall to be much higher than "Promise".

And yet we have not one, but two scenes from "Promise" nominated as BEST SCENES in all of Season 6?
Does that make any sense ?

You are acting like they just grab a random set of scenes out of thin air and make a poll out of it rathere than use the scenes nominated by the most people when asked for ideas for such poll.


I definately disagree with anything chole related other than her dying in phantom in season 6 being her best scene(maybe her being tortured in Freak, but not the burning scene)

However I definately would have taken the The Barn scene with Lana/Clark in both Phantoim and Labyrinth, definately labyrinth.

Or The B/Clark at the last scene of season 7.

I don't care if a chlark got in or not but it's unfair to Chloe fans. I want to pic a scene with my fav character in it... but they limit my choice to where it's impossible. It ain't fair.

They don't just randomly put scenes in that get nominated, the ones that get the most nominations are chosen for the poll, so its not a matter of them not wanting to put a chloe scene in, just that a lot of people didn't nominate chloe scenes over the scenes that were chosen.

same goes for ship, whether people want to admit it on the boards or not more of the great scenes are ship scenes and thus more people like and nominate those scenes.

and if you look at polls on here this site is actually overly biased for Chloe's favor even though shes not that great. Not to mention that scene definately wasn't even close to the best scene in the episode let alone the whole or half of the seasonseason, so I can see why its not in the poll nomination wise.

Just off the top of my head: when Clark sneezes in "Sneeze", the several cool arrows scenes in both Arrow, Rage, and Reunion ( and the statue falling off and killing that guy). Labyrinth had some seriously amazing scenes; the weird loft and Talon scenes, as did Nemisis, Noir, Freak (remember the Clark save in Tobias' house? how cool was that?), Combat (the hot pussycat scene, or the gory fight between Clark and Titan, if ya like that sort of thing) and Phantom (Chloe reviving Lois, Bizarro.... ).


Instead what do we have nominated as the BEST 7 SCENES of the entire Season?:

I definately think the scene from Justice was up there. Plus his scenes with Lana in promise did make it one of the top 5 of the season IMHO. Crimson is a lot of peoples favs so I see why it has some nods.

Sure I would have like the loft scene from Labyrinth, Lex coming back to save Clark in Nemesis, Bizarro at the end of Phantom in the poll, but i don't mind some of the choices. I definately think other than B man coming out at the end the Lex/Lana end of ship was the best scene the whole episode.

They are definately better than the sneexe/arrow/freak scenes mentioned and I don't think any of the first 10 episodes had anything that was best of the season worthy(Including sneeze and arrow)and I definately think the end of Freak with Lex and 33.1 and Tobias/Lana scenes were way better than the painful overacting of AM trying to make Chloe look scared.

I mean I could possibly see Lana going after Zod/lex with the knife in the opener(Zod) as the only scene before Justice worth mentioning in a best of category.

Most of them are ship scenes so I shouldn't be surprised but I think that Nemesis and Justice has much better scenes than Clark watching Lana leave with Lex or Clois kiss.

Well I think the choices were based on all the surveys they recieved, so we cant really complain about what there is to choose from because those are the scenes we voted for

Maybe you didn't see, but earlier in the summer on the news page, Kryptonsite had a little thing where they gave you all the subjects like "Best Scene", and you got to submit one option for each one.

I'm pretty sure they took the most popular answers. It's not their fault that those are the options - they were just the majority.



*As for RedK Clark shows his feelings, I'm pretty sure they're talking about the only time Clark had RedK this season, and that was at Lex/Lana's engagement party.

I agree.

I think it says something though, that the category that was one of those with the MOST VOTER TURNOUT (something like 12,000 +) was "least favorite character" which was "won" by "Lana".

So a a lot of ppl who didn't even bother to vote in the other categories, made sure to vote in that one!
