If you're like me, and you've seen that sweet region 2 box set and been wondering when it would be coming to region 1, it looks like the wait may soon be over.

Of course, if you've already got the DVD's, probably no reason to double dip. I've been holding out for this since The Chosen Collection came out though. Even considered getting a region free DVD player and buying the set off Amazon UK. Guess I can wait a few more months.

I may end up buying this to watch Angel. I think I posted that a few weeks ago in the Angel thread.

Funny, it coems out on Halloween I think.

You can preorder (http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FAngel-Special-Collectors-David-Boreanaz%2Fdp%2FB000TLTCU4%3Fie%3DUTF8%26s%3Ddvd%2 6qid%3D1186273236%26sr%3D8-3&tag=moonfans-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=9325) it now!

Not a bad price at all. 100 Bucks for five seasons, 30 discs?

Looks like its got a letter from Joss in it to the fans? Have you guys seen that before or is it new?

I think I'm going to get it, but then again I don't have any of the DVDs. Are the people who already have the DVDs going to rebuy them or nah?

They probably won't re-buy it, unless they really want the letter from Joss. The collection is slightly cheaper than if you buy it individually it seems.

Seeing as you've already seen Seasons 1, 2, and 5, I'm assuming you're basically asking what's worthwhile about Seasons 3 and 4. Well, for starters, Angel, Cordelia, and especially Wesley's characters all go through incredible evolution in these particular two seasons. Season 3 alone shows how fascinating a show this can be, even if it has absolutely no Buffy intertwining (though that changes halfway through Season 4). Getting to see Angel be a Father is a very interesting experience, especially since the mother is Darla and their child is a miracle baby. Seeing Angel's past come back to haunt him in various ways; rather it be Holtz, Angelus (who I'm sure you remember from Season 2 of Buffy and a brief happy-pill shindig in Angel Season 1), or the ongoing trials Wolfram & Hart put him through; it gets very good. The only big downside I can think of is the treatment Cordelia gets in Season 4, it's actually worse than her 10 episodes of being in a coma and subsequent death in Season 5 (two words; amnesia and possession). But other than that, it's very entertaining to see how Angel gets to where he's at in Season 5 with the rest of his team. And have no fear about the lack of Sunnydale characters crossing over, Season 4 will have quite a bit of that once Angel's soul takes a little trip.
