My friend and I had this debade. Who would win in a fight, Obi-Wan or Superman. My friend said Superman, no doubt. He has heat vision, ice breath, super streangth, etc. He said the Force aint got nothing on super powers.

I disagreed, I said Obi-Wan for sure since Superman's powers come from the yellow sun and if they were fighting on a planet with a red or blue sun Obi-Wan would still have the Force and beat Superman. But even if they were fighting on a yellow sun planet, Obi-Wan could put Kryptonite in his lightsaber instead of the crystal and cut Superman in pieces.

Geek debate, I know. :\

What do you think? Let's make a game out of this.

Sombody ask a "Who would win in a fight question" and state their case. The next person can agree or dissagree but must say why and than ask their own "who would win..." question and state their case.

Ok, I started with Obi-Wan and Superman. I say Obi-Wan, see above for why. What do you think?

obi-wan from the first trilogy or the second?

The second trilogy he was pwned by Vader early on, so old may obi would probably get pwned by supes.

Episode 1-3 Obi would stand a good chance. Lets face it. Superman was never trained to fight, he just uses is brawn. Brains will beat Brawn 9 times out of 10 so long as the brains is fast enough to stay out of arms reach.

I agree Obi-Wan.

Now Spidy vs. Batman?

I'd say Batman. He is older, has more gadgets, he is smarter and he wins even against Superman (kryptonite in his belt). However, Spidy has all that streangth and spidy sense...I'd still have to go with Batman because he would outsmart spiderman, and if great streangth is needend he would use one of his weapons. They both can swing from building to building, and Batman also has a net like Spidy has the web...so I'd say Batman.

Ok, who would win in a sword fight...Aragon or Luke?

I'd have to say luke, Aragon would get worked in a bad way.

I got one who would win between Regis Philbin and Howie Mandel?

yea, with a jedi having so much of his power in his ability to think and make decisions, I think a good jedi like Obi-Wan would figure out how to beat a kryptonian, even on earth... unless the jedi couldnt react fast enought to the superspeed that is. A jedi has quick reflexes sure, but superspeed reflexes... I dont know about that.

First, kryptonite is a metal alloy, not a crystal, thus you cant make a kryptonite lightsaber. A regular lightsaber wont even touch Superman because he can withstand temperatures much much higher than the heat generated by a lightsaber.

Second, Obi-Wan is not a strong Force user. He wont be able to do anything against Superman.

But how much could the force hurt him anyway? Unless the jedi is hurling kryptonite at him.

Obi-Wan wouldn't hurt Superman because he's not a strong Force user. However, in some stories from the Star Wars Expanded Universe there were Jedi who have performed some amazing feats, like destroying stars and rearranging solar systems with the Force.

I'm sure you could rework a lightsaber so it is powered by an alloy instead of a crystal. Technology, you know? If that is possible, Superman is going down. Plus, Obi-Wan being the greatest Jedi and all would think of something because he always uses patience and he thinks things through. Not so with Superman. Als, Obi-Wan is pretty strong in the Force. He did beat Anakin afterall, didn't he? Oh...and Darth Maul.

Obi-Wan is the greatest Jedi? You can't be serious. He may be great in some areas, but in skill and Force, he's potato compared to other Jedi/Sith Lords.

Besides, even if he creates a green-k lightsaber he wont be able to use it. He lacks speed to get even close to Superman. All Jedi do, so get that out of your head. Lightsaber is not the answer. Only a very powerful Force user stands a chance against Superman. Someone who can at least do something like this (http://www.lucasarts.com/games/theforceunleashed/) . But I doubt even that would be enough against Superman.

I think Superman would just heat vision the handle of the lightsaber. Now is there anyone out there that think Batman could out smart a Sith Lord...perhaps Darth Maul?

Outsmart? Batman would definately outsmart someone like Darth Maul. *ding Lightbulb!* What if Batman could manipulate the force and became a jedi? Sweet non-canon spinoff. No onecan argue that he would be he greatest Jedi to ever walk.

Definately Batman. Peter Parker is smart but I dont think hes got anything on Bruce Waynes intellect. Spidey has super strength and as far as im concerned, thats the only big difference between them but I believe Batman would win this fight. Spidey relies on his mind to win fights as well as batman so its a done deal....

True Batman is the master of mind games.

That was COOL.

But when I say greatest Jedi, I don't mean power. I mean he is the greatest Jedi because being a Jedi comes natrual to him. He is into meditation, his lightsaber technique is mostly defensive, and he did fight Anakin Skywalker who has the highest midichlorian count of them all, and won. He is a great Jedi.

I both agree and disagree. He beat Anakin because he was still young and foolish. He was not yet wise enough to know when he was at a disadvantage. That fight could have easily went the other way.

I know what you meant and that's why I said that Obi-Wan is great in other areas. However, it would take a lot more than just being great to defeat Superman. A Jedi's [fighting/lightsaber] skills are pretty much useless against Superman because they can't move the way he does. They are just too darn slow for him.

Hiiiiii Ccccoooooodddddyyyyy :D

But yeah, that's why he was able to beat Anakin.
