Would you see the "Smallville" movie if they decided to make one, same cast and all. It would be after the show is over.

I would. I think it would be really cool to see mature CK arriving in Metropolis and starting the whole Superman thing.

I vote YESSSSSS!

No. Smallville is its own little cannon. Putting it in the movies would be a big no no.

What if it was just the core iconic characters? Clark/Superman, Lex Luthor, Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, Perry White. It could start with the classic Clark comes to Metropolis after his world travel, gets a job at the DP, meets up with a surprised Lois who is not too happy about having a partner. Classic Superman!

Than Lois can fall for Sups, making Clark smirk to himself while he has to deal with her calling him "Smallville". Having a few funny scenes like that. Than a big thing happens that puts the world into dange, Supes saving the day, than BAM! The JL makes an aperence.
Lex and his army of superfreaks attack, while nobody but Clark and the JL know Lex is responsible, war breaks out, etc. etc.
Lois in danger. Falling off a buliding, out of a plane, Supes comes to rescue. Romance, blah, blah. Stuff happens, etc.

Hell, I'd go see that.

I think it would be a terrible idea, hasn't Superman suffered enough at the movies. However a mayed for tv movie for the finale i'd be all for.

yes, i would watch it. but i dont think it would be a good idea. it would have to have a pretty powerful story line to be a movie, in the way of the mythology of Clark. And that would take away from the TV series i think. Unless the movie was made after the show ended, and in a way was the final episode itself. Then i would watch it with a little more eagerness but other than that, i just dont think it would be a good idea.

Yeah I wouldn't even think about whether or not I am going to see it or not. It would be interesting seeing how the Smallverse makes Superman and Lois already knowing Clark and other stuff they changed. I love Superman and I would rather see this than the Superman Returns sequel. Smallville doesn't have enough audience for the WB to make a Smallville Movie for the theaters, but there is enough for Direct to DVDs.

I think they have a better storyline than SR, with the whole JL thing, and 33.1 and project Aries, and they will have Supergirl and they already have cool FOTW they can expand on.

It could be a totall blow out, out of proportions superhero battle. If only they would get enough money, I know it would be a great movie. Doesn't everybody complain that the fights on Smallville are too short, and that we need to expand on the fights?

If they made a movie, it could be a huge blowout between Lex' superarmy and the JL and Superman.

Of course it would be after Smallville has ended and it could be about his move to Metropolis into the DP and seing Martha make the suit, and Lex' getting out of Jail because Lois did an awsome expose on LuthorCorp in Season 7.

Meanwhile Lex is fullblown evil, and he gets his army and tries to take over the world. Superman and the JL try to stop him.

I think they have way better storylines than SR...IMO

Agreed!

The JL and Sexy Lexy storyline with Clark in Metropolis sounds great. I'd deffenitley go see it. Way better storyline tha SR.

And a way better Sexy Lexy.

As long as MR & TW are in it! I don't care if it's about Bugs Bunny and the Attack of the giant Rabbit foot!!!

Yes. Especially if it were Clark becoming Superman. I don't want to see a movie of anything that's happened previously on the show.

Of course not, in the movie Clark will have to be Superman since the show will end with him taking the final step towards his destiny. The movie would be about Superman.

i'd def see it.I think it would be great and they wounldn't have to try and stick everything into one little episode on tv.When they have so much great stories left to tell.

Definitely yes, as long as Chloe/AM is a main character in it too. :)
and Lionel/JG.... and Green Arrow/JH would be cool too. :)

Superman is a big money machine, anyway you look at it. So, I don't see why they wouldn't make a movie. As long as it centers around Superman and the gang in Metropolis and has a great DC Universe-centric storyline with Lex and possibly the JL, DC villains etc. I can see the general public loving it and not just the Smallville audience. And, if other people like it, that would make their Smallville DVD sales double, or triple.

5 million SV fans vs. 100 million+ SR fans...it would flop esp. if Clana was the center....stright to video...I say don't waste the resources.

If they would make a movie, that centers around Metropolis and Superman (you know, after the show), and they have a cool plot including the JL and Lex and LexCorp, etc. I don't see why other Superman fans wouldn't see it. Esspecially if the speciall effects are good.

Of course there wouldn't be a Clana!!!!

There would, however, be a little bit of Clois...

It would be okay but, for TV movie I already have the SR franchise.

If season 8 is the last season. They can do a movie instead of season 9.

Oh yeah, the SR franchise is great.

It's hard to tell which actor is more wooden and stiff. TW or BR.

I say scrap the cast and replace it with:

Clark/Superman: Samuel L. Jackson

Lana Lang: The chick who currently plays Martha Kent on SV. (She's still hot, and she played it before)

Lois Lane: Jennifer Garner (of course!)

Jonathan and Martha Kent: Steve Buscemi and Cate Blanchett

Mr. Perry: Gene Hackman

Jimmy Olsen: Tom Welling

Lex Luthor: Kevin Spacey can stay, but he has to turn up the sadism a notch.

What do you guys think?

If it happens, the studio might want to do it after the new Superman movie franchise cools off.I mean, how many new movies are we going to see with Brandon Routh??
If the studio wants a Smallville movie,it might happen probably around 2010 or 2011,
depending if the original cast wants to do it.However I don t see a Smallville movie coming yet....A Direct to Video realese would be a different approach..

The Brandon Routh one is coming out in 2010.

If it does well, there will be more...

All the Smallville actors would have hopefully moved on by then.

I thought that Superman:The Man of Steel would be realesed by Summer 2009,
not in 2010.

Nope. It got delayed a year because of the writers strike and the failed JL movie project
