Your own SV alternative casting

Sometimes I wonder who else besides our dear Tom Welling could've been chosen for Clark's role, the same for the other characters.
So, lets imagine an alternative new starring cast for the following characters:

- Clark
- Lex
- Lionel
- Lana
- Chloe
- Lois
- Pete
- Jonathan
- Martha

Digital, is just for the fun of it, I know many of us have dreamed of other actors starring in the show. This is like "What if......" , just a good way to use your imagination. ;)

Lana: Jessica alba If I am gonna be kissing a beautiful women half the show why not her.


I cannot think of anybody different for the other characters.

here here!!!! u know wats funny? I put on Idle Hands this morning while I got ready for work..Jessica Alba is truly one of the finest specimens on the planet and even back then you could tell...case in point Idle Hands was horrendous, and I couldn't tell you what Into the Blue or Honey were about but I've seen them several times...LOL

One of my coworkers said he didn't like jessica alba that he liked some other crappy actress who I won't name here better then a couple days later he walked up to be and said he was sorry for insulting jessica that he had just seen Honey and knew exactlly why I like jessica.

Back on the topic of this thread If I was casting this show and put myself in the role of clark and jessica as lana then I would have considered casting Terri hatcher as martha kent but then again it would be strange working with her and treating her as a mom with her as hot as she is.

Sorry fellas, but Jessica Alba is not a good actress. Kristin Kreuk is fine, she's perfect as Lana, a mix of innocent girl with a character.

Almost no Smallville fans like Lana Lang. But the truth is Kristen Kruek is not the problem - the writing is what fans don't like about Lana's character.

For the older characters, I might do something like Jeff East as Jonathan, Stacy Haiduk as Martha, and John Shea as Lionel…. But for the younger characters it’s important they all be unknowns.

This is hard!

Clark and Johnathon I would never recast. Tom Welling and John Schnieder are perfect together.

For Lana, [I love Kristen and wouldn't recast her either], but I would pick Rachel McAdams. Lana's character is so all over the place and emotional. McAdams is such a good actress, I think she would be perfect (as a brunette, not a blonde).

I would want to recast Chloe, Lex and Lois, but I'm not sure who would fit their roles.
ANYONE besides Erica Durance for Lois..

Sorry, but yeah, her acting skills aren't "special" in the sense that she will star in big-budget movies.

Her looks are average for tv shows...I don't get what people see in her besides maybe the fact that they can relate to her the most.

I think Allison Mack is easily one of the best actors on the show. Who else pulls of comedy and drama so well? I wouldn't think about replacing her.

Tom Welling and John Glover are irreplacable in my opinion. Michael Rosenbaum is a great actor but he's a little too scrawny in my opinionif he put on like 20 lbs of muscle he'd be perfect I think, I think it would give him that powerhouse business man look. All the girls are replaceable in my opinion.

Chloe - Reese Witherspoon
Lois - Katharine McPhee

Well, Allison Mack is not the sexiest woman alive, nor Miss Universe, but she has plenty of personality nonetheless, she's very charismatic, that's why she's so popular with fans. This comes from a non Chlark fan, I don't even care that much about the character of Chloe, but your comment is very unfair and frivolous regarding Allison. I'm wondering if you got better looks and personality, if you do..... :eek: ;)

Here Here. Like Alexius said, She isnt the hottest or best actress out there but I wouldn't say she has no personality or dis on her. Sure, Chloes character can be a little annoying at times ("Truth" to be specific) but Still, I think Allison Mack is a pretty good actress.

I never insulted Allison Mack in her acting or looks, I said I don't see what the big deal is with Chloe. Meaning, to me, Chloe isn't a very interesting or beautiful character (when compared to other characters on the show). How I feel about Chloe has nothing to do with how I feel about Allison Mack. I never said anything about Allison Mack's acting ability. Just because Chloe doesn't have an interesting personality to me, that doesn't mean I think the same about Allison Mack.

There's no need to be so mean just because someone doesn't like the same characters as you..

I can say Chloe isn't interesting to me. I'm not hurting her feelings because she's not a real person.
