It was between Walden and Edgar for me but i voted edgar cause he was a pretty nervous and nerdy character. ive heard funny stories about the actor who portrayed walden from commentaries, though

I voted for Dr. Walden. My 2nd choice would have been Maddox. I thought his ring entrance style was hilarious.

Dr Walden definately. The scene where he was in a coma was hilarious. The expression on his face sttill cracks me up. Second would have to be Lex's wheelchair.

I personally thought Coach Walt from Hothead was hilarious. "I saw your arm out there. You gotta lotta powaaa".. LOL I also laughed my ass off, when he basically insulted Pete right to his face. "Take Ross here. He doesn't have a lick of natural talent, but he's gotta a lot of heart".
I also thought that the times when he gets pissed were hilarious. Especially near the end where he screams "No" in the fire.
I have always been a huge fan of Dan Lauria who played the character, ever since he played Jack Arnold on Wonder Years.
Walden was damn funny too though.

Well Spirit Detective & vyperman, don't forget to vote for them. I don't see Coach Walt with any votes. And the only vote Walden got so far was mine.

That would count as Walden since it's part of him. I loved when he repeatedly said "The day is coming" and that scene in the ambulance where you could see flashes of light from the back windows. I laugh like crazy every time I watch that scene. Especially how the doctor says he'll be out for hours.
It's funny you mention Thing from the Addams Family. I made an Addams family spoof in another thread a while back:

I had to go with Dawn. While the Dr. Walden stuffon the commentaries (god, Rosenbaum and his "chicken sckatches"! ) is good, Dawn is hilarious throughout that entire episode, even when she's in other people.

Definately Perry White.
Especially when he referred to Kansasians as "Kans-Assians"!
Second would be Santa in Lexmas.
I can't believe that Dawn Stiles is leading the vote with 30.43%
so far. In my opinion, she was not funny whatsoever. Dawn Stiles was the worst and most annoying character ever to appear on Smallville. She was pathetically lame.

Dawn stiles was ditz, whiny and annoying and her belief of how great she was, was what Made her so darn funny.
Spirit is such an amazing episode because of the way dawn was written not only in herself but through other people and KK's impersonation was amazingly awesome and funny.
thats why Spirit is one of the most amazing episodes in smallville history.
she has a right to be leading this poll and got my vote.

Dawn was hilarious but mostly for the fun of watching our main characters take on her b@!$%y personality quirks.
Edgar from Transference was just perfectly played; comic and yet endearingly well-intentioned, he's my favorite nonsuperhero guest appearance. "Uh, Houston, w-we've got a problem" cracks me up everytime. :D
p.s. I didn't think Perry was all that funny. It was a good episode but his drunken mannerlessness didn't strike my funnybone much. I DID find Bart Allen to be wisecracking funny in both of his appearances.

Perry White, I like Michael McKean as an actor. Plus, it was funny to see someone actually keep Clark on his toes like that.
It also goes along with the theory in my head that Perry always knew who Clark was. That's why he put her with Lois all the time.

Wheelchair was a great character, very supportive, loving, and it had a great sense of humor!
xrayvision
06-24-2008, 06:41 PM
Wheelchair also allowed Lex to win the spitting-for-distance contest he had with Clark.
Note: I only added that because I actually was laughing my ass off in that Lex scene in Labyrinth--and I only laughed because it was fake and none of the actors were actually in a wheelchair for a legit purpose. That's why I didn't bring up Swann's wheelchair (because CR legitimately being in a wheelchair is NOT & was never funny).
The funny thing about the scene was that Lex was going nuts on Clark, who had a WTF reaction and had no clue that dreamLex did not have the same background as realLex. It was hilarious how Clark thought it was a trick by Lex.

Perry was the Funniest Followed by Kahn
Dawn was the funniest written character
Edgar was the most nerdy comedical character
WheelLex was the funniest looking ( bless his no legged soul)
PizzaBoy was the most horrible/funny victim
Santa was the most interesting/comedic character
Travis was the most unlikely comedic character
Dr.Walden and Couch Walt weren't that funny to me, all though it's ironic that Walden got burned to a crisp and Walt had the power to control fire

Perry. Michael McKean is a favorite of mine. I really liked coach Walt (the father from the Wonder Years, great there, too). His exchanges with Clark were all funny.
Edgar annoyed me, a bit. I didn't really care for Maddox, either. I just got season six on DVD and have watched all the episodes (even Subterranean) and realized I like "Combat" for the action, but I think it's one of the episodes that is a little insulting to Superman. This is about the young superman and his struggle to do what is right, decent, moral and ethical. I get that, but the line "Not if I kill him first" is not something he would say. He wouldn't think that way until it comes to the point where his life is, actually in danger. He might say that as a teenager, but I think he's grown enough to have a better knowledge of what his responsibility is. In the case of the prisoners of the phantom zone he has no other option (that he knows of) to defeat them, but I think he would try to find one before he starts to use the kill option. They have him fret over it at the end and that showed how compassionate he really is, but having him decide that he needs to kill when he isn't in a life and death situation at that very instant, I think is wrong.

I liked the new head, principle Reynolds, in Redux. The way he kept on telling off Clark was funny. And then that speech he gave Lex, "Lex Luthor, the Porsche, the attitude, somehow I'm not surprised you're involved."
I just thought he was funny, it's a shame he didn't have more scenes.

That's actually why I thought Perry was the funniest. The fact that he wasn't meant to be funny but turned out to be without intentionally being written that way made him funnier than anyone else. I love it when things are unforced on this show. That's why I thought Heat was such a funny episode (none of that goofy music that they started to play during the comedic scenes starting in season 4 was used).

I'm no stoner (never was) and I thought it was hilarious. The Jorel soap made me laugh like crazy. The photos of the janitor (Oliver Queen) and that fat guy (Victor Stone) were hilarious too. The wheelchair thing was hilarious because it was so totally unexpected. Out of everything I expected to see, when Lex pulled out & we saw what happened to him and the explanation that it happened because Clark ran out in the middle of the bridge like a crazy man babbling about superpowers, I just couldn't stop laughing. The spit flying out his mouth just added to it. That kind of stuff to me is actually funny compared to the stupid stuff like the barn door in Sneeze, the shower scene in Gone, and any other scene with that stupid goofy music playing between season 4-season 8. Those were just pathetic & forced, which to me is not funny.
I like some of the darker humor in the show, like Lionel's sense of humor with the coroner sending him the hand in Calling, or Lionel's angry reaction when the kryptonite key was stolen. I like lighter stuff that isn't forced (no goofy music), like most of the stuff in Heat, Jonathan catching Clark & Alicia in Obsession, Clark seeing the lockerroom with his x-rayvision, and many other things like that.
I liked Maddox too. Colin (Jimmy's friend) was also pretty funny. Edgar Cole & his neurotic tendencies was also one of my favorites. Toby (the surgeon) from Hug was also pretty funny. Perry & Walden are my favorites though. Rob LaBelle, the actor who played Dr. Walden even cracked up Tom & Michael according to the commentary of Rosetta.
