Kelly Clarkson - My December - June 26th

Has anyone else heard this album already? I have, and I have to say it's pretty dang good! I don't know what the fuss is about, or why Clive Davis made such a big deal about this CD. It's catchy, it's really well-written...the upbeat songs and rockier than what we've heard from Kelly before. The soft songs are much softer and much more intimate.

On the song "Irvine" they even used vocals that Kelly had recorded, sitting in her closet at home, using her laptop, not long after writing the song. It's been said that the vocals were so emotionally charged that they didn't want to redo them in the studio so they used the raw ones from her closet... The song is very poignant.

Anyway, I'm definitely getting the album on the 26th.

Any other Kelly Clarkson supporters on here?

I haven't listened to it because I just took interest in Kelly Clarkson's music...But the story to "Irvine" is intersting!! :D

Oh you will definitely not be disappointed when you hear it then. It is a bit heartbreaking though. She sounds like she's on the verge of tears throughout the whole song.

I have ordered the CD, I can't wait to get it. They are giving Kelly a lot of crap about it, but I think it will actually be really good. ;)

I think the media just likes giving flack to artists in general. Most of them have probably not even heard the CD yet. That's a bit unfortunate to think that's how journalism go nowadays.

But for what it's worth, I've heard the album and I personally think it's better than what she has done before. Definitely more personal to her and you can feel it in her songs.

"Chivas", the hidden track, is awesome. haha There's a line in there about a guy being disappointing in bed that just cracks me up every time.

My sis and I saw Kelly Thurs. Sept 6th at The Colts/NFL Kickoff in Indy !:D(Faith Hill and Hinder was there also ! )

We were 3rd row from the stage !That was the 2nd time we saw her live !:) She gives amazing shows!

Haven't listen to the album yet - must get my hands on a copy. Love 'Never Again' - it's played non-stop on my MP3... speaks to me, having been through a lot of crap with guys. You put it out there Kelly!!!

So, I love the album. I've actually loved all of her albums. She has a great voice AND can maybe a great song. She's like how Britney Spears used to be, when she'd have a new hit single like every other week (only with better lyrics and singing talent).
