Here I have some random thoughts.... I just decided to try watching the Roswell DVDs to see if that show was any good. This is a show that came before Smallville... keep that in mind.

I noticed alot of things.

A. Native American Myths being associated with Aliens

B. An Episode where the cast or parts of the cast are playing characters in the past where its a key plot point

C. Secrets and Lies is a common thing

I just noticed that alot of Smallville's past plotlines... were yanked from Roswell. Anyone else notice?

Sometimes Max is even a Bigger Dumber Alien compared to Clark.

And the aliens are all ridiculously good looking.

Both shows also have coal turned into a diamond. In the final episode of roswell one of the aliens who I won't name here grabs a piece of coal and says this is a trick I learned from superman and turns it into a diamond. And in reckoning clark turned a piece of coal into a diamond.

...actually he did it before Clark did. Point is... Smallville seemed to borrow... ALOT.

Well, since 'Ferris Bueller's day off' we know another efficient way of turning a piece of coal into a diamond.....

i loved roswell...it was my favorite show...now it's smallville :D

there actually was a reference to smallville in the Roswell season finale so I guess the writers noticed the resemblance.

Ok, I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed how many similarities there were between Smallville and Roswell.
