I have been re-watching season 6 of smallville and i have to say that when i first watched this season i was very disappointed with their telling of this seasons story of lex luthor and clark kent. i thought their method of making lana a main point in the show ruined the story for this season. but that was the first time i watched the season. I've been rewatching epsidoes that i taped and i have to say that honestly the season is alot better than i thought the second time around. All of the drama adds something pulse pounding the show. the pregnancy the phantoms, the episode nemesis was freaking amazing!!!! and the drama or the episode promise was great. has anyone found themselves on the same boat as me that thought this was a horrible season and just changed their mind about it or do you think it was a bad season still after rewatching this season again?

I havn't got round to re-watching Season 6 but i still think it is my favourite season after watching all 22 episodes. Closely followed by Seasons 3 & 5.

I never thought it was horrible, but Lana definately slowed the season down to a crawl mythicly speaking. Ive seen season six 3 or 4 times now.

i thought the Green Arrow stuff was better than most did, and i found the repeats from early season 6 were enjoyable over the past few weeks.

its hard for me to rewatch season 6 cause i don't have it recorded or anything...but i think your right, cause i felt the same way about season 2. when i first watched it i thought it was mostly boring, but after watching it all in like one week, i realized how good of a season it actually was...it might be seeing each episode one right after the other, as opposed to waiting a week or more between episodes, thereby losing most of the thrill and emotion you felt from previous episodes.

I usually rewatch Smallville throughout the summer as it reruns on TV. However, this summer I find myself not doing so. I think I saw enough the first time through and I am debating if I should even buy the DVDs. The biggest disappointment came again tonight when I was listening to the tail end of "Fallout". Clark is talking to his mom after Raya is killed and heroically tells Martha that after the Zoners are dealt with he will begin his training. Clark tells Martha he is ready to accept his resposibility. The music crescendoes to a heroic roar... And then the rest of the season... *fizzle*...
I hope season 7 is better and instead of the pining Clark dopey-boy, we see the young man who will become Superman...

i dont know i just re watched the whole season back to back and i have to say i loved it. it was hard to like it at frst because of all the drama but then i started to look at the fact that it takes drama to push people towards who they are going to be for the rest of their days.

I record Smallville on my DVR and I watch it everyday from HDNET. I honestly think that the show gets better every year. I really enjoy watching how hings unfold. I greatly appreaciate ALMILES' version of the Superman epic. I think that it is being told in a very exciting new way. I must say I am really enjoying watching the older eps as well(in HD) Everyday there will be one cool scene I want to watch in an ep and end up watching the whole thing. I think season 4 may be a big time favorite of mine. Im on that one now. But in retrospect season 6 is probably the best. I like how they have cut down on having a FOTW every week and focus more on ongoing storylines.

That happened to me with Season 5. I hated it and then I re-watched it and liked it better. I haven't rewatched Season 6 yet.

I liked S4 better when rewatching on the DVDs, but that may have been because then I could fast-forward through the Jana.
GA in S6 was good, but not enough emphasis on the Zoners.
And it almost goes without saying that we could have done without the Lexana. :p

season 6 in my opnion is under rated. There was less meteor freaks and witches than previously seen and more of real foes. Lex became more "evil", and more characters were introduced. It was a good season.

The worse seaon by far to me is season 4, when the writers decided that Lana's character was too "stand still" compared to Clarks, so they made her a witch.. bllllaagh. I'm gagging just thinking about it.

I think season 6 was a great season in terms of character development. at the beginning of it i felt as though people werent going down their respectable paths correctly but after re watching it i loved it because they were actually being pushed to the next level.

I enjoyed the last half of the season much better than the first. I didn't like the quick demise of the Zod arc after they wasted the end of season 5 setting it up. Then came Ollie and less Clark and with the Lexana, that should have died early on, the season seemed to drag.
Finally, by the time Ollie is gone and Lana is awakened from her walking COMA, it finally gets down to evil Lex and the truth about Lionel.
The pregnancy, wedding, and death(?) for Lana was just plain painful to watch because of the uselessness of it all. Can't there be a rift between MR. EVIL and Mr. Kent without it being over a girl.
With all the bad episodes like Whither, Static, Noir,......etc this season rates a 3 out of six for me, behind seasons 5 and 3.
