Favorite Smallville Teaser

Have you watched a Smallville episode, and gotten goose bumps at the end of the intro when Remmy Zero kicked in? I was just recalling to someone how awesome the intro to 'Exodus' was at the end of season 2. I think it was Exodus where it started with Jor-el (in the form of the ship) telling Clark "it is time". As in, time to fulfill his destiny. Clark is standing there arguing with Jor-El, who is telling him that his thoughts arent a mystery to him. That Jonathan, Martha, Lana, all had served their purpose, and that is was time to fulfill his destiny. "At the setting of the sun Sol." he is to return. Then Remmy kicks in. I get goose bumps watching it to this day. Of course that is just one of many of my favorite SV teasers.

Well, my favorite would have to be from Exile! That's where the camera pans over the Daily Planet globe and then zooms down to Clark on r-k. He looks at a sports car and then smashes a bunch of ATMs to get money to buy the sports car.

I think the best teaser was for the episode resurrection. You see all this crazy stuff, and then Clark says "I think that Lionel Luthor's found a way to bring people back to life." and then you see a body wake up. That was excellent.

transference was beautiful, the way they made lionel turn into clark on the hallway
priceless, i still remember it perfectly...
and oh yes, when Clark's on the phone and says..."this is lionel luthor"

For those of you who have HD programming.....Smallville comes on twice a day on HDNET Channel 76 or 79 on DirecTV. I record it EVERYday

I gotta say...Exiles was really cool though. The part where he puts on the ring then you see the Red K surge up his arm and into his eyes. That was pretty nice.

ALSO I forgot about this one!! In "Justice" Where Bart shows back up and Clark Chases him through the city then he pops up behind him and Clark sees its him....that was an awesome teaser. I think that one may be my favorite, the dialogue and chemistry between them, is always perfect

OH yea, the Bart intro in 'Justice'. Its even better than the original Bart intro on 'Run'.

And yes, the phone call from the future on crisis was very good also. I'm watching season 3 right now. Im on 'Extinction'

The nine episodes listed above are my favorites, but I say Arrival is on the top of my list. The rise of the fortress is a definitive moment of the series to me.

From the poll, I say the scene in Arrival. Very memorable moment. I also liked Clark's proposal even though I wasn't a fan of Clark and Lana back then from Reckoning.

From an episode that's not on the poll, I really liked the opening to Nemesis. It seemed to open the plot up perfectly without making it seem rushed or anything. The lines exchanged between Lionel and Lex were very good too.

Definatly the fortress creation scene in "Arrival". Much better than the fortress creation in the movie but the movie was made before computer effects so it had a disadvantage..

i loved the opening montage of promise, the opening of asylum with Lex dropping his pills in the paint, the opening of exile - KAL!... they are the only ones that stand out for me at the moment

i voted Vortex...when i look back over the episodes, it is perhaps not my favorite, but i remember watching the first season and then having to wait for that episode...my anticipation durring the break between seasons 1 and 2 will never have an equal...it is IMO still one of his biggest moments fo Clark personaly...

oh, he has done bigger things and the stakes have been higher since then, but THAT moment in his life, was as gripping as any on this show to date...i was left wanting more Smallville (NOW!) after that cliffhanger than i have been since...

having said that, taken as a simple coparison between episodes, the pilot was and is the single best episode of the series...it still stands as classic Superman...even if some think the show as a whole has not...

Plus, how about the teaser for Combat? Showing part of the fight between Clark and Titan and closing with "time to die Kryptonian!" before Titan's fist fills the screen? Ignore the flashback part - the opening was cool :D

Totally totally agree, cksidekick! What a cliffhangar from S1 and what a way to start S2. I remember trying to open a bottle of red wine in the kitchen thinking "Sh*t! Sh*t! It's going to start!" as I heard the announcer! :lol:

Favourite opening? Probably one of Tempest, Exile, Asylum, or Promise. Tempest was just fantastic because it was all-out MBness from Lionel, Exile took RedK Clark to another level, Asylum satisfied my need to see how Lex and Clark would interact if Lex knew his secret, and Promise was a great montage with a perfect soundtrack.
If push comes to shove, I'll go for Tempest - I just love the atmosphere that was created (and I still can't put my finger on how they created it!)

Exile has had the best opening sequence of all epsiodes to date. It had Clark in Metropolis walking around cocky and confident looking cool while he is on Red K. The song "boys and girls" playing in the background while he is walking and eyes that sweet ass ride!

Then he robs the atm machines and picks up the girl and car and goes clubbing. He gives the keys to his new car to the valet and then of course the epic scene when he rips open his shirt and you see the house of el mark lighting up!

Then we see him put the red K ring back on and you can see it infecting him from his veins all the way up to his eyes and he is loving it!!

Nothing has topped that opening scene for me yet...Some have come close but haven't topped it!

Asylum (Massive Attack's Future Proof was awesome for that opening scene)

Though Justice wasn't an opening episode and it was one of your choices at the top,
I chose it as my favorite episode. I started watching the show more religiously when
it was aired. It's my personal favorite episode.

As far as season openers, my choice would be Odyssey, because it's another Justice
League ensemble episode minus Cyborg and Flash...I mean Impulse. That was it's
only minus.

Exile hands down.

-Pilot was great & set the framework of the show
-Vortex was a very good & underrated episode & wrapped up the events of season 1
-Exile was the best (amazing)
-Crusade, except for the flight scenes, was a rushed, confusing, boring mess
-Arrival was great except for Clark's actions that cost Jonathan's life & the birth of the BDA (Chloe telling Clark to go at the hospital room, when this was never the case prior to this episode)
-Zod was surprisingly good after the horrid events of Vessel
-Bizarro was great considering the Clark-Bizarro scenes, but the rest was not the most interesting
-Odyssey was dull in many aspects, but brought Clark to where he needed to be (until Power-Requiem happened), so I generally like this one, though I resent how Clark just got into the DP without earning it (could have had an entire seasonlong plot based on this)

All are amazing... I really love the Ending of Comencement and the Teaser of Arrival, but I have to say I always get emotive with the Teaser os Promise with the Snow Patrol song.
