How did Nikki know to KO Sylar?

I still can't figure out how Nikki knew that Peter needed to be helped and that Sylar needed to be taken out. Is there some point this season at which Peter and Nikki and Sylar interact?

i think its when she saw sylar pull out that parking meter (was it a parking meter?) and was about to smash peter with it. also everyone there was like stop sylar so she pretty much got the jist that sylar was bad.
