okk so i have a theory... what if nathan didnt let go but held on to peter? like mr devaux said the one thing he has is LOVE, he loved his brother, so what if he used a power to protect nathan like a TK sheild, or maybe dls power even though he didnt know he had it,or maybe he can use a power with some1 he is touching like when he made claire invis(unless that only works with invis).but it seemed like when he was training with claude his powers can trigger if he needs them. orrr nathan couldve just flown away =D, or died.. lol but i dont think he died hes pretty important

I think he died. He is pretty important, but I think he fulfilled his destiny when he saved New York.

Unlike Pete, I think Nathan is gone for good. That was his moment to be a hero, and he took it. He let himself die so Peter could regen and live.
I don't think he died but I don't think that Peter was able to protect him. Maybe Nathan and his wife trade places and he ends up in a wheelchair?
I think that Nathan did fullfill his destiny - even though he didn't realize it in the beginning that Peter's desinty and his were the same (even though Peter kept saying 'we' when he was talking to his brother)
Ties back into the first episode when Peter falls and then Nathan is there to 'catch him' in the dream.

Yea I have to go with this also. If they do the cop out so he "survives" it will ruin the REALLY great writing for Nathan's character progression. He progressed, arched, climaxed, and his finale felt VERY satisfying.
If the writers really wanted to, they could bring him back. Just show him taking Peter up into the atmosphere, then zipping away before he exploded. He showed in the episode where he met Hiro that he has some serious speed if he needs it. He could get away.
