Why can't they seem to understand?!

I wouldn't have stopped cuting & chopping, until Sylar's body looked like it was raw hamburger.

Head? Forget about it..... that would be the first thing I chopped up.

Well they say cockroaches and twinkies can survive a nuclear blast.....it would have been cool to see a twinkie sitting there by the drain:p

Arch Villians ALWAYS find a way to slip away in the comics.

I believe it was all of the scenes where he got his powers, all shutting down. That's what I thought at least.

I think it was all the pictures he drew up to his death.

Because gruesome and brutal death is not the way of the samurai...The Japanese believe in honorable deaths even for their enemies. Also this isn't rated R television...

Honorable deaths are only deaths if they actually manage to kill the person. I'm sure if a Samurai came into contact with an enemy who could only be killed by completely chopping his brains to bits, said Samurai would do so.

But yes, this is television. That does not mean they could not have had Hiro chop off his head. However, Sylar was clearly never going to die in Season 1, he's far too cool of a character to not keep around at least for a few seasons. He could even potentially become an anti-hero. Think about it, Sylar decides he wants to help save lives, but the other heroes (now working together) are split on wether or not to work with him. Some argue that he has changed, others argue that it doesn't matter if he's changed or not because the only reason his powers exist are because of the deaths he caused.

It'd be a great setup for him, I think.

Hiro really should have cut off his head though. The way he was swingin' that sword around after he pulled back out of Sylar made me think that he was going to for a second there!!!

Damn that Isaac! He should have went ahead and painted Hiro doing that so that Hiro would have known better. See? Blame the dead guy and it's all better. Isaac: BAD. Hiro: GOOD. ;)
