Wait, i didn't get how shooting Peter would help; wouldn't that just set him off right away like it did to Ted. I was thinking that Nathan realized that wouldn't work, so that's why he had to have himself killed instead of just taking the gun from Claire.

well Ted didn't get a full grasp of his power until he exploded. the other key person he could learn from is Noah
