I agree he stabbed him clear through, but he definitely should have cut Sylar's head off. Or at least the top of his head then ate his brains.

there was a cockroach on the sewer i think it represents how hard it would be to kill sylar, because mo said cockroaches can even survive nuclear explosions and what not, just like when he stopped his heart beat to pretend he was dead

I'm thinking a story line they MAY play off is Sylar finding out about the big baddie, and trying to go get him and dying. A Syler / good guys truce just to try to kill him.

That's what I got from it, too... "The lowly cockroach"

I think that since Sylar lived there's a good chance we'll see Pete againt oo, it's like Simone's dad said about them being the yin yang. And I agree, I think it'd be cool to see Sylar team up with the Heroes to take down this bigger threat. After all, we have seen his human side from time to time.
The writers have used the cockroach with Sylar before, kinda like when Bennet had him locked away in the observation cell. I kinda wondered at the time what the connection was, and if he somehow finds ways to survive like the coackroach does. I was never real sure how he broke out of that cell, so I wasn't real sure about the significance.

I wouldn't have stopped cuting & chopping, until Sylar's body looked like it was raw hamburger.
Head? Forget about it..... that would be the first thing I chopped up.

Sylar is not the big bad guy. There is another, creepier bad guy waiting for us in September, or when Heroes comes back.
I bet he works for the IRS. I knew this when Molly said that if you think of him, "he can see you."
It's the Taxman!

so if sylar is a cochroach, then all we need to do in step on him! WITH CLEETS OF GOLD AND SHOELACES OF BANNANA PEELS! hehe, cochraoches remind me of men in black,

Hiro made the same mistake Mohinder made and the same mistake every single horror movie makes. Once the bad guy is down, you have to make sure he is dead. ONE HIT IS NEVER ENOUGH TO KILL HIM.

The bigger threat prolly dragged the newly dead Sylar into his sewer lair, played around with his brain to see how his powers work, fused his brain matter with his own, and BAM! Sylar takes over. But now in a bigger, badder, more powerful form.
That's how I saw it.

Seriously though, they still have a lot of mileage in the Syalr arcs, so they need him alive. What would be awesome is if he did get to be the good guy for one episode. Like, in order to fit his interests, he does something that seems noble. I'm just glad that he didn't die, and that Hiro got to finally stab him.

I can almost imagine Sylar looking at another hero's head and saying, "That would have been so tasty"

I agree with you. To me it looked as if Sylar was dragged down into the sewers. He has telekinesis and he could of levitated out of there. I think it could of been the new villain, or maybe Claude with his invisibility.

I am thinking he lost all the newly gained powers.
In the commentary Tim Kring mentions about Sylar's eyes when he is on the ground.
His eyes went white and we see several images flash by, Kring (or one of the other men there) said those were the people he has killed.
I need to frame by frame that to get a look :D

I thought maybe he went into that trance like before he begins to paint something?

I thought so too till I watched the commentary on NBC Rewind.

That was cool! It also looked like he no longer needed to paint to see the future!

I noticed an error while watching the rewind. During the "battle" when Hiro first appears he's holding his sword with the blade pointed backwards (away from Sylar/toward the camera) and when the camera shifts to bird's eye view a split second later he's now holding it forward (blade pointing towards Sylar).
And if those flashes are of the people Sylar has killed, why was the last one of Sylar himself?

I don't know, that is what Tim Kring said, but I bet it was a flash of the future or maybe a flash of the last thing he had "seen" when in future view while painting.

Ok, i watched the commentary, they said it shows both who he has killed and his own "death".

I am still working on freeze framing each part :p
It is so fast it is hard to catch.

Ah OK :)
I knew it was somethig like that.

It probably doesn't have any new deaths or any secrets, because there really weren't that many flashes.

They said something to the effect that we (the fans) will freeze frame it to see what was there, I don't want to let them down

Lol, go ahead. If they try to put some hidden clues I'll eventually find out, but as long as I don't know anything, I won't be worried about it all summer long.

I'm thinking the roach is just a red herring. My Heroes buddies and I think that the new big bad dragged him into the sewers.

OK, I scanned dying Sylar's eye scene, there are some interesting pictures in there.
one of them has what I am 99% sure are three roaches.
I put them here:
The first one is the collection of all of them, the second is a close up of what I believe are the three roaches.
The third I think is his mother, or is it Claire's mother, it is hard to tell, but it looks like the woman is smoking a cigarette

If the new bad guy dragged Sylar into the sewer, than it would reasonable to assume Molly, who has some sort of telepathic connection or whatnot with him, would have sensed him, since shes obviously terrified of him. I am 100% certain that this new guy was not responsible for Sylar's escape.
And ya, the third one is of his own mother, looking at her hand.

Umbrakinesis would totally fit as a power that Sylar has, as we know he has other powers not yet seen. Also, I just thought of a possible reaosn why he went into the sewers, besides the obvious reason to get away from all the people. If he does have Umbrakinesis, he would need to go somewhere dark to use. THe sewers are dark, and would also provide him with cover. He could then, after being in the darkness, teleport through the shadows to some hospital, or someplace else, to rest. Or, if he has the ability of Hibernation along with Umbrakinesis (Hibernation means that while he rests, he heals, which gives an answer for how he is still alive after getting shot, how he could pretend to be dead, and why he wants Claire's power- healing while awake is a lot more convenient than healing while asleep), he could have teleported to Isaac's loft and healed, and then somehow when he woke up he lost part of his memory, which would account for the spoiler.
This theory connents all we know of what happened, the spoiler, and possible powers, and if you understand it it actually makes sense

Hibernation as an ability does make alot of sense. Hopefully after the Hatian's story is finished we can get some more info on exactley what the three powers of Sylar we havent seen yet are.
