Chloe being crushed really doesn't move the plot along, Clark wanting Chloe would move the plot along and that has not happened. I think that Chloe was crushed because she lost the role of being the only one who knows about Clark. Now with Lana knowing, she doesn't feel as special as she once did, especially since Clark told Lana about everything even without knowing that she knew about his powers.

I agree Clark has to move the plot along in that area. But Chloe being crushed because of the secret--I don't buy that.

i don't think a one-sided kiss to stir up the fans should be an annual tradition. if there's going to be Chlark or Clana or Clois, it should be done for real. "traditions" like the one broken last night just keep the story in a closed loop.

Indeed. The others who knew weren't on her level. I think Chloe felt a special connection with Clark because she took care of him and his secret, she was her most trusted friend and, as she could not fulfill her romantic desires with him, the secret sharing helped her feel close to Clark. and Now Lana nows (knew? nah... she's alive) too and suddenly Chloe doesn't have the exclusive any more.

Of course she is jealous, who wouldn't be?

It's always darkest before the storm. And then after the storm comes the light.

It could have been deliberate on the part of TPTB to deprive us of our Chlark kiss. However, that may not mean necessarily that we're not going to get our Chlark eventually.

If you think about it, Clark has never really deserved Chloe until maybe recently. Now he's beginning to. His telling his secret to Lana made him a more open, vulnerable, real person. Perhaps he had to get over that hump in order to "grow into" the right kind of guy (and you Chlarkers know what I mean).

And let's not forget that sometimes when you get "what you want," you realize that you don't want it actually because what you wanted was an IDEA that could never really materialize. I say Lana is a dream, an idea for Clark. He may not want her once he's got her.
Instead, he may want what he's always had and took for granted--Chloe.

But, even if he is growing into the right kind of guy. Chloe has to grow some too. Lana professes her feelings openly and Clark loves that. Chloe can't manage to do that so she'll have to get over her own hump too.

But, will she? Will he? Ah . . . the flutterings of a Chlark heart.

Not to be a killjoy, but maybe there never was a tradition...merely coincidence. In the past when Chloe kissed Clark it wasn't because TPTB wanted at least 1 kiss per season, but rather because a particular story called for it. This season no story called for it so it didn't happen.

To me there should have been so much more chlark kisses because they have so much in common. They both like journalism, uncovering the truth and more. They share so much and I dont see why clark kant see that. He is the biggest fool in the world.
