Lana is the Horse Whisperer :rotfl:

She knew Shelby would not approve of Clark kissing a married woman.

Mog-el
05-17-2007, 07:28 PM
Whispering: " She see dead people and those dead people are her parents that wouldn't approve of a married woman leaving & cheating on her husband."

So "Shhh" keep it on the down low okay?

Routh

Why?

Because I punched her in the freaking throat at the beginning of the episode.

One of the effects of excessive hormones

By the way...
Didn't want to wake the other voices in her head.

Wow, a lana hate thread, what a shocker...... Why was she whispering? Because she was emotional and she always whispers when she is or talks soft.

She knew Shelby would not approve of Clark kissing a married woman.

People really need to get over this and stop pretending that Lana wasn't forced into the marriage......

People really need to get over this and stop pretending that Lana wasn't forced into the marriage...... I don't care if Lana was dragged into the marriage by Blind Ninjas from the Smallville Outback.

They crossed a line with "Clark" this episode.

Yeah but what was her excuse before the wedding. We'll stop pretending when you stop pretending she could have gotten out of the marriage before.

I voted that her voice gave out.

What was her excuse before the wedding? I have a couple, but it really shouldn't matter. What, you can't change your mind in life? Once you make a decision, bam, you have to go along with it WITHOUT KNOWING the whole truth. You are allowed to change your mind, anyways here's why she didn't leave before the wedding:

1. She has a baby, is she suppose to raise the baby by herself with no living residence?

2. She didn't know Clark loved her or the truth about him. Mainly the love part.......

So, like I said, stop pretending.

I really didn't noticed the whispering but then again I was also watching this forum so I could have missed it...Deana you NInja comment was brilliant!! :rotfl: :rotfl: My theory ..maybe she tols Clark her fake death plan..he didn't seem as upset as I thought he would be.....hmmm...maybe he's in on it......as far as crossing the line...they really went all out :D :D Clark kissing a married woman..Lana getting slapped by Lex...everyone dying...yeeesh...it all made for a great finale though....:D :D

There really was no reason for the whispering...I guess it was just to make it a bit emotional...after all we've waited 6 years for this scene.

But my biggest annoyance was that Clark really didn't tell her the part he had the most trouble coming to terms with. You know, the whole "I was sent to earth in the meteor shower that killed your parents" thing. And I always figured that they'd shrug off the REAL reason he never told Lana the truth. Hell she already told him in season two or three that she didn't care if "were" to have had special abilities! Sucks that tptb made Clark content with only telling the half-truth ...like he did in Reckoning.

uh, I think her parents have long siece been thrown into The Big Polt Black Hole.

I think it's a cross between her being a Horse Whisperer and all the other voices in her head. *whispers* sometimes I whisper not to wake them too..... *laughs* I was being sarcastic f you couldn't tell.

Clark was whispering too. Why the childish and negative comments about Lana whispering. What should they do talk, project and enunciate their words in an emotional scene.

She's been wearing black, looking thinner, and whispering all season. I say she's so upset with herself she's been smoking a pack of unfiltered Camels a day.

Now she was telling Clark now that she has left Lex he can have a threesome with Her and Isabelle now. *LOL*
No she might have let him know about her plan to leave.

She always talks that way. I once asked here last year why she has a hard time talking and no one seems to know.

She seems to have two volumes, whispering and yelling. I like it better when she yells at least I can make out what she says ;)

Clark was talking in a low voice but he wasn't whispering :)

I don't remember it being this bad. I could at least understand her in previous seasons, but it's like she was mumbling and whispering the whole season. I doubt it's KK's fault, I bet tptb wanted her to talk that way.

Didn't want to wake the other voices in her head.
One of the writers read about the technique in "Romantic Scriptwriting Cliches for Dummies".
and: Didn't want to wake a sleeping Shelby.

I chose all 3 they were all very funny though!

I thought she basically married Lex because she was pregnant?
I'm not saying this is okay, I just think that was what happened.

Lana's voice was worn out from having to say goodbye to all her boyfriends.
Overcompensating for Clark's superhearing.

So she's leaving Lex...

But forever tainted.

Clark will take her back, at least temporarily, because AlMiles see this as a tragedy and the Clana is a way to cause Clark angst.

If Lana could buy a new vehicle several times a season (pre Lex marrage) then I bet she could have afforded taking care of an infant.

Also odd that Chloe who's only known income is a lowly position at the Daily Planet, could afford the Yaris. Not to mention the VW she had before that, and the college tuition that no one seems to be returning to after "Black Thursday".

I dont get why people have a problem with the whispering.Infact I find it totally sexy.Chloe fans better get annoyed when Chloe pulled her stupid face again when Clark told her that he kissed Lana. It's frickin 6 years!6 YEARS!Oh my goodness Chloe is beyond pathetic.

I don't get what everyone's deal is with the whispering either. Would everyone prefer if she screamed or something? Talk about nitpicking. She can't do anything right.
I won't say anything about Chloe because I like her, plus I don't want to antagonize anyone.

I have never thought the actors have done a bad job with the acting (well a little in the first season), they have done some great scenes and awesome range of emotions, but they have had some really bad writing to work with.

I have always wondered what they did to baby Lana to make her cry like that in the pilot.

adromidon
06-06-2007, 12:06 PM
they told her that Clark will keep secrets from her the entire series and she broke out crying

No, Lana or not, the whispering was annoying. Clark was talking a low voice, but not whispering like Lana. Chloe does not whisper during romantic scenes with Jimmy, and neither does Martha during emotional scenes with Clark. It's an annoying Lana habit.

I also think Kristin is a great actress and the whispering thing is not a slag against her, just the six years of overwrought loft scenes. :(
