Did Clark use that as a pickup line? "I'm from another planet, its called Krypton, its light years away, my parents sent me here to save me."

Ok so FINALLY he tells her the truth and it only took most of their young adult life.... thoughts on this please....it makes me wonder if he would have better off telling her a couple years ago...or not at all.....

That scene was too short!!

it was kinda anticlimatic...thought there would have been more..seemed rushed
^ Yeah, it might've been a little short but I think it spent a good enough time, the finale has to progress beyond that! I'm sure they'll touch more on Clark finally telling her next season!

I have to confess, I squealed like a little girl. After 6 yrs, I wish that scene had been longer.
The whole ep felt really rushed to me.

yea it was,but I think they wanted to have clark's focus mainly on the phantom. But I agree after all these yrs he jus said it like he wasn't scared at all,and she jus smiled like it was nothin and that was that  .But I think if she lives(which I bet her death is fake)we may see more of the reaction we all expect from the talk next season :\ .But definitely rush tho, alot goin on in the finale

That scene had no impact...none. Its little to late in my book. This "secret" should've been over and done with already. To many teases throughout these last few seasons to really care about whether Clark whould or wouldn't. So yeah Lana FINALLY knows....So what.

o yea when he told her in Reckoning I definitely agree it was better, but I understood the need to not indulge into it much. His main focus in the epi was the phantom so jus hearin that lana was leavin lex left it open. They didn't spend much time cause clark thought he'd have time to explain more later,he jus didn't expect her to die  sorry couldn't help it :)

I thought it was really an oddly stilted, anticlimatic scene that wasn't written nearly as well as such a moment warranted. There are so many things Clark and Lana need to discuss and put out in the open for this to feel like a real moment for them. This scene didn't deliver the goods. And it wasn't directed very well either. Too much in strangely angled close-up, when pulling back for body language would've worked better.
TW & KK have actually done better in many scenes together this season. I was sort of hoping they would save the best for last, but IMO, they really didn't. Instead, they both looked tired.

I thought it could have been better as well, oh well. At least they got it out of the way......As for Clark, I wonder how he'll take her death.....Would be in for some Kal time......

My thoughts are that TPTB have another plan to keep Lana/Clark seperated.

Probably, instead of just having them together so Clark can finally make his choice to follow his destiny. Seriously, what's so hard about that? Have them together, have an ongoing storyline about Clark choosing between Lana and the world with other stuff going on. Lana going thru the same thing. How hard is that?

well, she did tell him she knew about his powers... which im sure there are a couple she doesnt know about. but at that point it was kinda like... why hide it anymore? wuts the point? it might have been a rushed scene but i liked that he told her and it seemed like he was thinking there was no point in hiding it anymore either. overall i like the scene.

I'm sorry, I just don't think that Lana (at least not the SAME Lana from earlier seasons) would have accepted the truth that easily.

I said it a year ago to a friend of mine...
Clark is gonna tell everything to Lana and than Lex will be the cause of her death (well at least that's what the writers want you to believe  ) and that's when Clark & Lex truly become enemies.

I think it's great that Clark has finally told Lana the truth. After her 'faked death' is resolved next season...I hope the writers of Smallville are capable of giving Clark and Lana a love story that is worth watching while turning Lex into an evil monster...not that he isn't already one...but than having Lana and Clark battle Lex as a team. Of course Chloe will definitely be an important part of this also.

It was anticlimatic, because she already knew about his powers, and because of the previous scene in Reckoning, even though time was reversed. The "Promise" episode was better in that respect. But it was done to set up next season. Clana can finally reach its final resolution (assuming the death is fake).

It was very rushed and the reaction from Lana was very dead pan. Like I said in another thread, she reacted the same way that she would have if Clark just told her he wasn't a true brunette but a blonde instead.
I agree that it was nice to get that out of the way. No more secrets and lies. :P If Clana does work out fine, if it doesn't then they have no reason not to at least be friends because there won't be any skeletons in the closet.
I think they just wanted to get it out of the way so they could start next season in the clear.

I agree, but it was an expected anticlimatic moment seeing that Lana was as sneaky as a CAT!

Finally but not enough was said. There was too much going on I agree. I wonder what they talked about after the hug. Cuz a clana scene never ends witout someone walking away.
