Hmmsors, well I live in Ontario but I get the CW on my antenna and my satellite luckily. Maybe Smallville's on at a later time on the A Channel? They should have it on sometime, A Channel ALWAYS plays Smallville. Weeeird!

According to the website, the season finale of Smallville is on AChannel (Toronto) FRIDAY, MAY 17TH AT 8PM.

Why the hell would they screw around the airdates with the season finale.

If anyone else is missing Smallville tonight because of AChannel, please send your complaints:

I live in Ontario also, but I watch on the CW.

The A-Channel is my least favourite station to watch Smallville. I had issues with them during the school year. Send them an email, hopefully they won't do this again in the future, especially for an episode as important as the finale!

Yeah same here!

They've shown every other epi live. Then the Finale the move it to Friday LOL

I'm guessing the CW has something to do with this?

I am pretty ticked right now.

"HAY GUYZ U KNOW WAT WOULD BEAT THE SMALLVILLE SEASON FINALE IN RATINGS?????? DAY AFTER TOMORROW LOLz"

Yeah, thanks, AChannel, for being nobgoblins. Thanks.

If there are any other Canadian networks showing Smallville next season (doubtful, but we can hope), I am giving AChannel the boot. God damn.

I had to watch Smallville on A Channel for part of season three and it sucked. Picture quality and audio issues, simsubbed commercials and missed episodes. Save yourself the trouble and just subscribe to one of the CW stations, and, even better, the CW is now available in HD. Barring that, the Space channel is the best Canadian station for watching Smallville. The picture is a high quality wide screen SD down convert from the HDTV original and since it is not simsubbed there are only seven minutes of commercials.

My brother and I sent in the following letter. Feel free to copy and paste it to A-Channel (make sure to select "programming" when you send in your complaint).

http://www.achannel.ca/home/5416_ContactUs.aspx

"This is sure to be only one of many complaints regarding the horribly unfortunate preempting of the Smallville Season 6 Finale.

All season, A-Channel has been fantastic at showing Smallville on its proper night and time, and fans have gratefully become accustomed to it. Every week, fans of this program have no doubt helped to boost the ratings of the station by faithfully tuning in and watching the show, both new episodes and in reruns. After a season of commitment from the fans, turning to the only station in southern Ontario to show new episodes of Smallville on Thursday nights, the fans have been very let down. A question on our minds is this: Why wait all season for this colossal let-down - why preempt this program on the night of the highly, highly anticipated season finale? In order to show a poor movie which garnered even poorer ratings from critics and moviegoers alike? The fans assuredly find it hard to grasp why this programming decision was made.

Patrons of a dependable restaurant are happy to give money in exchange for the service they've come to expect from the establishment. The fans of Smallville have come to expect things from A-Channel, and until now, the station has been committed to giving Smallville viewers what they have waited for, week after week. In exchange, the viewers continue to tune in, rather than turn their attention elsewhere (satellite stations, downloading, et cetera). I am not sure that after this very surprising misstep I'll be able to commit my viewership to the station in the future. Surely, many fans feel alienated and let down by A-Channel at this time. This has been an unfortunate disappointment."

good for you! I wasn't as calm becuase i was still seeing red. But they will get the point i'm sure. I didnt swear or anything just told them how disappointed i was in their station.

Yeah, what the hell? I got ready to watch Smallville, and then it says something about a special motion picture, 20th Century Fox shows up and tells me it's the Day After Tomorrow! Come on, any other episode I wouldn't mind waiting a day, but this is the Season Finale! Even going on these forums to see what was up with A-Channel I found out things I didn't want to know. They've never done this before that I can remember, have they?

I've also tried to call and I can't get through. Must be getting a lot of calls from angry Smallville fans.

I got a response from A Channel this morning. It was kind of standard i am sure that everyone else who wrote got the same response.

I wish i had a friend with satilite but i don't so i had no choice even if i knew before hand.

This was their response to me :
Due to a scheduling conflict the season finale of Smallville will air on A-Channel on Friday May 18 at 8pm (tonight). We apologize for the inconvenience.

Scheduling conflict?? geesh they couldn't wait till the season was over to show the movie? or move the movie to Friday Night????

Stupid A Channel I'm not a happy camper.

Hey Newfan. Next time can i come over and watch it on your satilte? LOL

I got that response too.
It's only a scheduling conflict because YOU SCHEDULED A MOVIE DURING SMALLVILLE. Ugh. I can't stand AChannel.
I would gladly watch it on Space on Sundays, but I don't want to take the chance that for some reason Space doesn't air it and I miss the episode all together.

I just moved out and I go to university so there's really no chance that I can get the CW on satiellite. :(

The "power of the pen" or in this case the keyboard.

Seems that A channel has switched Smallville back to Thursdays at 8. Maybe they wanted to see how many people watched Smallville by changing nights for the finale. Morons

But the programming is still stuck on the next episode being "Prototype" It's been like that since that epi aired. Morons

I need to get signed up for CW channel.

That's a good theory. I thought they just had to switch because the CW told them so, but maybe they DID put the finale on Friday to see how many people would watch on Friday night. And what episode is more watched than the season finale.

I don't know why they would want to switch it to Friday though. Friday is like the least watched TV night. What are they competing against on Thursday at 8pm? Barely anything.

Well actually they have a big competition with their sister channel ( city TV) showing " Ugly Betty" same night, same time.

But they need to stay put somewhere and not confuse the hell out of us poor old people

I wrote to them and said it was a good thing I had checked the time for the finale or I would have had a heart attack.

I got the same reply as others. :p
