I voted that she looses her memory. We probably will think she is dead for the first quarter of the season, second quarter with find out she is alive, third quarter Clark, Lois and Chloe figure out she is still alive because Jimmy met up with her in some small town in Colorado living a different under a different name. In the last quarter she will regain her memory and want to go back to Smallville but worried about Lex. Lois will then write her big story exposing Lex and Lana will return to Smallville in the season finally.

I voted for the first one. Can't stand Lana Lang any longer. However, I fear the second one is true and she faked her death. Even though I thought the last one was hilarious, I would be really afraid it would actually happen... What do you mean clear Lex of the murder charges. I think set was the one who set him up. Lex looked very surprised when Clark said that Lana was dead. But I could see that he was lying to Lana when he knew nothing about the fake pregnancy . It was in his eyes both times whether he was telling the truth or lying

I totally agree. However, you would think that the authorities would have to find a body (or parts) in order to charge Lex with murder.

She will be back to save Lex from the charges and get KO'd a few more times next season.

well how could have clark saved her when Lionel told him "Son, Lana's Dead!" and then it goes into that dramatic scene where Clark just isn't able to cry no matter how much he tries to fake it!:p nah honestly that white mail van was a big give away

Notice that they never said they found her charred remains -- & if there's no body, you never can be sure they're dead!
I couldn't figure out who else there was to do it if not Lex or Lionel, but it would totally make sense for her to fake her own death. I would be okay with her being dead, but Kristin Kreuk had a 7-year contract, so I think she's coming back (same for Chloe - just "mostly dead").

Exactly! There's no way Clark secretly saved her. He was about to kill Lionel (& Superman doesn't kill anybody).

I said the samething as soon as the truck rounded the corner. It was just a little too obvious for it not to be the get away truck, so she could fake her death.

What would be the purpose of faking her own death just to come back and save Lex from the charges? If this plot of hers was designed to get her away from Lex why would she come back? Lex would then know she is alive. That would defeat her purpose of faking the death in the first place.

Also, does anyone think Lionel might of had something to do with it? I mean, why was he screaming at Lana before she left. It was like I felt he was trying to warn her or something? Why did he care if she left or not? Also, was he trying to warn her of something?

she didn't die, she setup the bomb, to make it look like she was killed by Lex. and she let the very little clues and obvious signs that she was leaving lex and that he hit her as she walked out.

she let Lionol see her 'getting away' and then that anonymous truk drove by , she hoped on, let Lionol see the car go boom.

it all pieced together when BDA questioned Lex, Lex might be a total evil mastermind, but he was utterly confused when clark told him lana was dead......

Nah it has to be she faked it. Nice to see the truck driver was concerned that a bomb had exploded right behind him. Yes he showed that concern by continuing to drive(!) Obviously a good samaritan wonder if he called 911?

I think Lex did or hired someone to put that bomb in there. But then, yes, that milk truck came by...so there was probably some other bad guy in there who wanted to kidnap Lana...and did. I didn't think Lex seemed all that surprised when he found out about Lana's death. I think he was just acting out his confusion.

i was just thinking that also, because who else does lana know that could have helped her leave, she doesn't know the martian manhunter, clark seemed completely suprised and lex gave it away with the "Oh something has happened to my wife line" but yet he didn't seem at all heart broken that the women he has killed/done anything to keep her by his side for died!

She hopped into the mail truck that was driving by hers once Lionel saw her. It crossed in front of the camera to block us from seeing her as well. That has to be where she went.

Actually, she jumped in the white truck to escape Lionel (who she never trusted). She figured he'd be able to track down her SUV.

(She set off a timer to the explosive when she opened the door to the SUV before deciding to jump into the white truck).
