Does Papa Petrelli have powers?

Well, according to the comic, Papa Petrelli didn't have powers. Did his develop later?

I think he probably did. Going by the fact that Peter had a weird vision that sent him into a coma that almost made his heart give out and the fact that Pa Petrelli had been hospitalized three times for heart attacks makes it really seem like Peter got a power from his dear old dad.

Linderman said That he had great power, but he was weak! I think he might have been able to absorb powers like Peter and also had a hard time controlling them. I think next season we will get to see a younger him learning as Peter did. Via flashbacks, like the Godfather PartII.

I dunno... having read the graphic novel serise on nbc it seems fairly unlikely that pa patrelli had powers. He freaked when linderman used his and it would be too much of a coincidence for him to develope em later. Both pete and nathan have powers though and nathan passed power to claire so maybe ma patrelli does?? I think maybe nathan's real kids will show powers at some point too... I think the power linderman was talking about was just the power of a man in a high position of authority as he was, and the being weak was just the part where he kept trying to kill himself.

I don't think he really tried to kill himself. That was a lie by Ma Petrelli to try and keep Peter and Nathan in the dark about their powers for a little longer. Afterall, Ma Petrelli was willing to let the world think that her baby boy - the one she loved the most - was crazy and tried to kill himself. So what would be the big deal for her to be willing to let the world think the same about her husband?

When Linderman said that Pa Petrelli was weak, I'm guessing Pa Petrelli and Linderman had a falling out of some sorts and Pa Petrelli wasn't willing to blow up NY and kill millions of peeps in order to "save the world." For that, Pa Petrelli got labled as weak by Linderman.

He was freaked out by Lindermans healing in the graphic novels, that doesn't mean he doesn't have Powers. It does seem that these people tend to gravitate toward one another. It's the same coincidental power that had Matt save Molly early in the series, and go with Bennet to destroy her later. Or the fact that Hiro and Ando Happen to be in the same diner that Charlie will die in, at the same exact time as Sylar. This isn't just random, this is destiny. Sorry I became Peter near the end of that speech.
