official heroes to marvel comics dictionary.

I just thought it would be fun to compare heroes to the comic books. a lot of people have seen similaraties between the 2. if you guys can think of any characters of heroes that are like characters from marvel comics( which is the comic company i feel heroes would belong in most) post them here. so far I have;

Nikki: the incredible hulk. both are strong and have to sides to them

DL: shadowcat from the x-men both phase through walls.(though both nikki and DL would also make a cool cloak and dagger)

peter:rogue, can take on peoples abilities. though both had trouble controlling it.

claire: wolverine, both van heal(though claire has a very shadowcat like personality. and claire doesnt have claws.

HRG: nick fury, no powers but both work for powerful companies. and have dark secrets.

nathan: cannonball, both can fly at sonic speed.

mohinder:prof X, he doesnt have his powers, but both are really smart and study evolution and DNA

both eden and candice would make good mesmeros.
micah: forge, both really smart, good with machines.

I,m having trouble thinking of a match for sylar and hiro and ted so please post any matches you can think of.:D

Maybe Sylar is close to the Absorbing Man (creel). Though not exactly, but in a round-a-bout way.

Hiro is the American Samurai who had enhanced skills and could teleport!

Ted would be Radioactive Man, who was a villian who became superhero and in his first adventure traveled to NY to battle Thor.

Peter= More like the super adaptoid from dc

DL and Nicci= Cloak and Dagger (another post of mine) we don't know how strong nicci actually is..can she bench press a car or a bus?

Claire= Just fit her for some adamantium

Hiro= Kang the conqueror( time lord), from the avengers books

Nathan= angel without the wings( he can mount some fake ones like hawkman)

candice= mystique, I haven't seen candice fight though. Mystique was off the chain in the movies!

I dont think Cnadice is anything like Mystigue.

Mystique does completely physical changes. Candice's powers are purely illusions and nothing more. Lady Mastermind does exactly what Candice does and in one book even used her illusions to cover a personal flaw! She was able to make those around her see what ever they wanted to. Not limited to just herself. Mystigue can only physically change herself, but thats it!

I argue with nothing but love by the way! :D

lady masterminds a good one for candice, and i cant believe i didnt think of radioactive man for ted or kang for hiro. the one that bothers me most though, is matt. i mean many characters can read minds like prof X and doctor strange, but they can also do different things. plus, matt has a unique personality thats hard to match.

True, in the X-men world his personality would be more of sidekick.

Xavier would be Matt, the Haitian and HRG(tho only to Matt). I would like to see someone who can project their thoughts!

How exactly are DL and Nikki at all like Cloak and Dagger? Their powers are nothing alike. Just because one is transportaion and one is offense, that doesn't mean they are anything alike.

Also, everyone is saying Claire is just like Wolverine, but the only thing they have in common is that they both have healing factors. Apart from that, they are, once again, nothing alike.

Candice is nothing like Mystique, as Candice is an illusionist and Mystique is a shape-shifter.

Finally, Nathan is more like Wing, Aero, or others than Angel. (if you don't know who these are, they were Xavier Institute Students, however one is now dead and one is depowered.)

ok your confusing me. your saying that nikki and DL arent like cloak and dagger because they 2 teams dont have the same powers,even though there a lot alike, but at the same time, your saying claire and logan(wolverine), who have the exact same power, arent a match because their not alike. so which do you base your opinions on? the powers or the character likeness? my brain hurts

Claire and Logan would be exactly alike. I guess wolverine is him after the surgical addition of the metal. So they would be alike abilty wise, but until she gets her claws added, there not completely.

I cant think of someone for Claude or the Haitian, any ides?

Claire is not like Wolverine. Wolverine does not just have a healing factor, he also has, as his actual powers, superhuman senses, reflexes, agility, and stamina, bone claws, and animal-like teeth. He has had claws his entire life, not just since he's had adamantium. They are not alike ability wise, and certainly not alike personaltiy wise

Sorry, I guess I didn't realise you meant DL and Nikki=Cloak and Dagger personality wise. I suppose powers are more of a factor than personality, because even if someone does have the same personality as a Marvel/DC cahracter, if their power(s) doesn't match, they aren't the same. Both would be best; however I don't think there are any maatches for both

Also, Claire's mom has almost no matches, due to the fact that we don't know the full extent of her power. She's not really like any comics character, due to the fact that mst other characters have additional power besides pyrokinesis. The closest I could come up with is the DC Legion of Superheroes character Inferno

Good point, he does have those other abilties. Which means maybe she would be more like Deathstrike, dont know why we forgot about her. I dont know if she has any other aparent abilities and quick search gave me no more insight. The one thing we have to remember also is that almost every X-men character can pretty much fight with better reflexes, agility and stamina. They all have this ability and for somereason have the ability to juswt kick the crap out of each with Ninja like action! :D None of the Heroes charcters have shown any kind of actual fighting ability other than just their base power(minus Hiro and Kaito).

Hah! Come to think of it, you have a point.

As for invisibility, the closest I can come up with is DC's Invisible Kid , again from the Legion of Superheroes. I didn't look that hard though, so there are probably better matches. As for the Haitian, I dont' think there are any characters at all like him, power or personlaity wise

Claire=Silver Fox(Marvel) or perhaps Painkiller Jane(Event Comics, whatever the hell that is)

DL=Shadowcat/Phantom Girl, though it is really sad that those are the only tow characters I can come up with

Hiro=Magik is actually a pretty good choice, and also probably the best one

Issac(yes, he's dead, but still)=Dream Girl is close, but soon she may be closer to Mama Petrelli. Also, I hate to say it, but Raven Baxter is close (shudder)

Nikki/Jessica=the Hulk is the obvios choice and a good choice

Matt=Brass(Marvel Comics, really relatively unknown), probably others, but I'm too lazy to find out

Micah=maybe Vesper form Marvel? dont really know anything about her though. Also R2D2

Nathan=Aero or Wing

Peter=Super Adaptoid was a good call

Candice=Mastermind, not Lady, as Lady Mastermind aslo has telepathy and a level of illusion-casting beyond what weve seen of Candice. DC's Princess Projectra could work as well

Matt-you're right that there are tons of characters with telepathy, but the problem is that almost no one (that I could find) besides this Brass guy can only hear thoughts. Every single psychic can also project/control thoughts as well, which Matt (as of now) cannot do

Peter-you're right, I didn't know all that, but he's (it's) still the only match I could find

Candice- read the powers section for Lady Mastermind's Wkipedia page, and go down a bit. It says she has limited telepathy, and so far we haven't seen that from Candice. Though you're right of course, we haven't seen enough of her power to really know what she can do

Claude- I thought that too, but the Invisible Woman has all those other powers as well, so she's not an incredible choice

Sylar- I think Mephisto is a bit of a stretch, even with the whole soul thing

Kaito- YOu're right, Viper is a really good match from what we've seen, and with her teleportation she could even work as a match for Hiro. Kaito's better, though

Also, Molly Walker=Cerebro/Cerebra is good, though she is also a lot like Caliban BA (Before Apocalypse)

THe ones I'm having a lot of trouble with are Sylar, HRG, Mohinder, Sanjog Iyer, Hana, Charlie, Zane Taylor, Dale Smithers, and for now Mrs. Petrelli

Peter Petrelli = Rogue (before ms marvel)

Nathan Petrelli: Aero or The Angel (forget the absense of wings, his only power is flight, deal with it :p )

Issac: The closest would be Destiny since she kept a journal to keep her visions of the future while issac painted them. Hey and now both are dead, beat that lol.

Linderman: I wanna say fabian cortez, but cortez is more of a recharger then healer.. maybe someone can help out there. Elixir.. but then again..

Meredith Gordon: Sunfire (Pyro can't create fire)

Micah = Black Box

The Haitian = Leech

Charlie = Sage

Brian Davis (then Sylar) = Jean Grey

Ted Sprague = X-Ray

Zane Taylor (later Sylar) = Mister M (Zane doesn't melt things, he manipulates molecules)

As for Peter, I see him as a Mimic like character. (Mimic was an early X-Men character who ended up copying the powers of all the X-Men. Back in the 60's.)

Sylar is extremely tough to nail down. He has power traits of many characters such as Caliban (Can sense powers) Rogue (absorbs powers) not to mention all the powers he's picked up along the way.

Getting back to Peter. Anyone that's seen JL ULIMITED, knows how powerful the adaptoid became. He started punking the likes of Superman, Captain Marvel, and Green Lantern, like they were chop liver. The sky's the limit for Pete. That's why they had to go all greatest american heroe (from the 80's show for the un- informed or under aged) and make him an emotional wreck. Cause if he was as silky smooth precise with his abilities like silar, the sereis woulb be over.

I dont think claude would be a good invisible women. he`s alot like marvels red ghost though.

I think sylar would be a good apocolypse. there powers arent exactly the same, but both are really powerful, and both have many differnt powers.
meridith would be either sunfire or human torch. hiro would be a good sway though becasuse not only do they have the same powers but they are also from asia.
someone also asked about HRG, who I think would be a good nick fury. and peter would be a good black alice as opposed to rogue, because peter doesnt need to be touching people to absorb their powers. ted`s a good radioactive man and mohinders a good prof X
