Wow here it is crunch where we actually get to see a Hero's battle. Peter is good hearted and Syler is just a cold blooded pyscopath killer.
Of course Peter will win. Good always triumph over evil.

I picked Peter, but Silar will escape, or they will have to find a new bad guy for the next season. Silar is just awesome!

I picked Peter as well, but I agree Sylar is going to escape or else he wouldn't be around next year.

It's a tie. They can't kill them off as I think they've made them too popular, but they can't really make one of them "better" than the other either as they've basically built them as the representations of Good and Evil on the show. I think somehow they will both survive, but the world will still be saved.

They'd both be good fighters, but Peter would probably win cause he could absorb all the powers Sylar has. Either they're then equal or Peter kills himself because it's too much to control.

Who says they'll fight? Remember Vessel and how we had to wait all summer for Zod?

I am leaning towards "Neither".
They will fight (if it actually happens) to a standstill and uumm... maybe I should take this to the speculation thread?
Either way it is gonna be awesome!!
I think that it will be a close call and then Sylar starts a reaction or something that Peter has to jump in and stop and Sylar will escape.
Or - Sylar lights it up and Peter grabs him and flys him away from the city and drops his azz but we don't know if Sylar is actually dead or just lying in wait to strike again -
Either way - it's gonna end with both of them alive in some form or state.
And I agree - either way it's gonna be awesome!

I don't know. I think Peter for some stupid reason is going to think going nuclear is the only way to kill Sylar before Sylar himself goes nulcear and destroys more then just half of NY. But in the end, Peter will burn too hot and will have no choice but to explode and cause the desaster he wanted to stop.... at least until Nathan flys him up and away or Hiro does something.

IMO Peter...doesnt the Hero win most of the time?

Except in the cases where there is a fallen hero and the others must rally together to either protect or avenge him. I really hope that's not the case - and I doubt it will be........
But after thinking about it a bit - maybe it's not Peter who kills Sylar - maybe it's Hiro and Peter just has a role to play in assisting Hiro stop Sylar. In the end - I'm pretty sure that it's gonna take teamwork to stop Sylar and not just one person (sorry Peter - I love you but I don't want you to be added to the body count and you're not strong enough yet to hold your own)

Peter needs to be trained by Hiro's dad, because obviously, Silar is much better, and has a lot more confidence in his abilities. It seems that Peter has to "HULK OUT", or get extremely angry in order to step up. Silar, just maintains that sadistic swagger and poise. The only time I've seen him rattled was when HRG held him in custody, and when he was with his mom.

LOL - Well.....Peter's getting more and more confident. The difference between Sylar and Peter is that Sylar seeks out the powers and welcomes them and Peter has been a bit reluctant to embrace his powers and learn more about them. Sylar's more like a collector.
That being said - I think Peter could use some more training from Claude, HRG, or Hiro's dad. Or even Hiro for that matter. Peter's getting better but Sylar's still one-up.
LOL @ 'maintains that sadistic swagger and poise' - I keep waiting for him to burst out laughing or do a little evil dance. :D

i think peter will win eventually he is the good guy perhaps with the help of hiro
but the problem with peter is that the writers made him
so stupied !!!
in the words of lois and clark
"he is galaticaly stupied"
and made syler so smart
if peter dont wise up soon he is going to lose

WHAT?! A different actor?! WTF even bring him back then. That's like saying the audience is too stupid to know the difference.
Damn that Doctor Who and his "not reprising a role" ways!!!!

I would rather Peter get a letter saying he was dead than for Claude to be reprised with a different actor. I hate it when shows do that!

Where did you see that he got a new actor. I kind of liked eccelston in that role...I still mix him up with Fiennes on occassion.
