when nathan asks linderman what he knows about healing he answers"a few things". when hiro asks his father what he knows about killing, he also answers "a few things". Therefore I think that his power is instant kill

I think that Kaito is the japanese warrior from the legend of the sword. He was maybe the first person with powers. The powers that the dragon gave him, may of also included immortality.

Small problem. Dragons weren't real, and this show is trying to be a realistic fantasy. Powers come from genetic mutations or something. And i'm sure hiro would be able to tell if his father looked 60 years old when he was 3 and still looks 60 when he's 20-something.

Dragons COULD be real. Keep in mind that the writers control THIS fantasy.
It's well within their creative right to define "history" and everything in it. If we're really on board for the ride, we just have to take their word for it. :)

Good catch......It would be a very well written script then.

The bad guy can heal people.

The good guy can kill people.

Very parallel, and a very good chance this is true.

The dragon story is like Aesops Fables. They are meant to teach lessons. Hiro said it you must have the power to cut out your own heart to save that which is most important to you.

That would explain the logo on Nikki/Jessica's shoulder and I think it popper up a few other places too. I just dont remember

Unless Linderman is the good guy and Kaito is evil
