I gave it an 8 because it just seemed like a commercial for the finale (which I guess it would have to be.)
Plot wise it didn't advance much, we're where we thought we would all be, in New York, Sylar or Peter is going to blow up, and we just to see who survives.

I agree with you, but I gave it a 5. The last 2 weeks the shows have slipped a little bit. Up till now I was giving the show 9's and 10's, but landslide was rushed. The Nikki/Jessica dual identity has gotten old fast. What was the ending all about? A little bit of bribe money and all of sudden Jessica's drooling over the money, and then Nikki takes over.
Hiro gets samurai training in what seems like a couple of hours. I would of liked him to at least freeze time for a few months and train, and when he was ready walk out of the back room and Ando would still be standing next to the big sword maker.
The other plot lines all had faults to, but there's no point in ragging on about it. I'm sure the finale is going to be great and I'll be back here next week cheering it on.

Thats so sad, I am so disappointed! Why would you do that? :(
I gave it a 10 - while some people may feel like this episode was just a commerical for the season finale or that the show has been slipping I feel just the opposite. I feel that the show is gaining momentum and things happened in this episode that would have been way too much for one season finale even if it were two hours long.
Granted - some things happened which make you wonder. Hiro training up in a day, Peter not flying Claire and Ted outta there, Peter and Claire not following Ted to make sure Sylar didn't get him etc. But that being said - everything happens on this show for a reason and unlike some other shows - Heroes does provide answers to questions and does somewhat tie up loose ends. I can't wait to see where the show goes from here.

Totally Awesome! I guess the big showdown betweem Peter and Syler is next week. Go Peter!
I'm glad they took out Linderman and someone said that the Nikki/Jessica dual identity was getting old fast. I disagree with that totally. To me it seems her characture is only now getting intresting. Beside Jessica is hotter than Nikki anyway.
The trailer looked like Matt may die next week. I hope not. I like his ability. And I wish Ted wouldn't have died. I thought he was a good Hero.
I just assumed that Hiro had stopped time to learn his skill.
So I also assume that the writers would assume that we would all thought the same too, I guess.

Definitely a solid 10/10 episode. I never once looked at the time or got up for bathroom breaks or food. My eyes were glued to the screen and I was annoyed as heck at the commercial breaks! Can't wait for next week's episode, but I will be very sad to have to wait for next season. :(

I gave it a nine. The problem that a lot of people are having is all of the setting up that was done in this episode. They definitely set up the Finale nicely. Left a big question mark.

I gave a Nine, It was a really good episode, but all "Heroes" episodes are really good, if you ask me. So I have to go by some high standards otherwise all of them will be "10's". So I only give Tens to the really remarkable episodes, "Six Months Ago", "Homecoming", "Fallout", "Company Man", "Five Years Gone" "The Hard Part" and I'm sure the list will soon include "How To Stop an Exploding Man"

I thought The Episode was Excellent, I really did Enjoy watching it, My Favorite Scene in The Episode, is when Hiro is getting Training from his Dad, so he can stop Sylar, and I also liked The Scene, where Peter controlled his Powers, I can't wait to see The Season Finale, Next Week it is going to be great.

They killed the two bad guys, other than Sylar, and that is SO cool! How often does that happen??

I waited till I rewatched the episode again, then I watched the episode with the commentary on NBC Rewind.
I didn't know how much I missed the first time, there was just so much going on because it was so action packed.
I gave it a "10" because:
The story is progressing so darn well.
The cimenatography is outstanding, the scene cuts and all around editing is just amazing.
The actors are so well directed it is just stunning.
Also the actors really made me believe they are experencing the emotions. For example the transformation of Jessica to Nikki is intense, the internal struggle between Jessica's greed and Nikki's love for Michah. Wow, just plain Wow!
I really believed the anguish HRG felt when he realized the "Tracker" was a child. Again Wow!
Drama? .... TNT eat your heart out, Heroes knows drama.
What a waste of a brain for Sylar when DL squished Linderman's grey matter:eek:
I could go on for hours on how much I enjoyed this episode.
If the finale is better then this episode, I am not sure I will be able to handle it.
To sum it up in only one word. WOW!

I thought it was a great episode. What a fantastic moment when HRG points a gun @ Molly, and the Dr. points a gun at HRG. Good writing!
Loved Nathan's speech, and the fact that Peter and Claire are now partners in hero work. All the death was pretty neat. I saw Ted's coming, but not Linderman's.

My exact thoughts during the episode: "Now THAT'S how to write a series!". It had only really occured to me today how much the writers had planned ahead, giving everyone a reason to be in the same area, all with similar missions and intristically entwined with fate.
Dammit, Smallville... what happened to you?
I wish the people giving the episode 1's would post the reasons why they didn't like it - unless they are just people voting 1 for no reason. I mean - how can you not think this was a decent episode (I gave it a 10 - reasons why are on page 1). imo of course.

A solid 10 and here are ten reasons why!
1: 4 deaths in one episode. And I only saw one coming (Ted's)
2: Nikki didn't take Jessica over. Jessica actually let Nikki take over because she knew Nikki would resist the money
3: Story depth. Even in small dialogues. Take the part with Candice (the changing girl) talking to Micah about how people can be mean because of the way they look like.
4: Hiro's training. And by the way I did believe that he stopped or at least slowed time, because his father said the he had learned so much in so little time. That must have had something to do with Hiro's ability, or else it would just have been too coincidental.
5: Linderman healing Nathan's wife. Good thinking of the writers to have that in the story.
6: Hiro is still calling Nathan "the frying man". Every time I hear that it makes me laugh.
7: The Walker system. Cleverly done. Especially with HRG now doubting for the first time if the end really justifies the means.
8: Sylar taking over Ted's power. Not a big surprise of course. The surprise is that he controlled it so quickly, meaning that if he explodes it's not because he couldn't control it, but because he wants to.
9: The 4 deaths in one episode. Yeah, I know I mentioned it earlier, but 4!!!! deaths should at least count for 2 reasons.
10: The ending. So many people standing on so many crossroads. And it's not even the season final. Can't wit for next week.
And yeah. Off course the epsiode had some lesser moments. Like Mohinder smacking Nathan while if he listened carefully Nathan was about to convince HRG not to kill the girl. And of course Claire and Peter should have followed Ted. Or Peter should just have made the 3 of them invisible in stead of just him and Claire. But at least I know that these flaws were necessary for the plot, unlike in other shows, where flaws often don't contribute to the plot and you just go: "Aaaah!!! That really doesn't make any sense!!!" (Smallville anyone?)
And besides this show has so many great moments that you easily forgive the not so good moments. It's almost like in a relation where you love someone so much that you forgive their everyday tiny mistakes. Like... breaking a plate (sorry honey!!!)

Hey, hey. Calm down there. This is a community, and I see no need take what you so callously referred to as "stupid jeberish" quite so seriously. I merely post for my own benefit, as everyone else on here. If I am going off topic (in this case I was just messing around) then please just ignore (though if I do post senselessly, repeatedly, please inform me) what I have to say and continue with your business.
