I cant believe I didnt know there is another unaired episode!

In an interview with Tim Kring, he says that In His Own Image will be included on the first season DVD set.

Is there a difference between the unaired and aired pilot. I didn't watch "Genesis". What I watched was "In his Own Image".... When Genesis came out I thought it was the same thing so I didn't bother checking it out....

I was wondering if there's a difference and what the difference is if any....

From what I found on the web, it was a 72 minute pilot that was shown at a convention, it had a lot of differences, Here is where I read up on it.

I didn't see the scene where Isaac cuts off his hand....

But I did see the sink scene where Claire injured her hand badly by putting it into a running sink garbage disposal to retrieve her class ring. So that scene wasn't in Genesis ?

I haven't seen the unaired version (till the DVD comes out).
I did see the Claire disposal scene that will never be seen again though.
I am glad I recorded that one for sure.

It is also suppose to have a more gruesome Sylar with long hair, and finger nalis and teeth. I have a friend who is suppose to be getting me the psp episode.

I just watched a 54min version of it. It didnt have Sylar in it but Isaac did cut off his hand. It woldve been perminate too. Looks like they changed their minds and decided he should keep it.

I cant seem to track anyone down who got ahold of the 74 minute version.

A friend of mine downloaded the Pilot a week earlier than the actual series premiere. Honestly, the only thing that sticks out in my mind as noticeably different is Issaic has his hand cut off. I noticed that immediately in Episode 2 since I missed the series premiere. Confused my wife and I, and then we were able to Tivo the pilot and saw it was a completely different scene.

Oh yea...and also I remember Claire ramming her hand in a disposel and watching it heal itself. She was trying to hide it from her mother the whole scene....I don't remember that in the Aired pilot.

Claires hand was on the aired pilot. The name of the disposal company was removed due to a lawsuit. Rhere are two different versions a 54 minute premier and a 74 minute one. The 74 was a convention screening that had alot more stuff in it. The 54 is the one evryone has!
