Gosh i cannot even look at the tv screen when he makes those puppy faces when he speaks about Lana, or to lana....Yuk!! Makes me real uncomfortable, i got to say people. Furthermore, Chloe is starting to get tired of his "lana this lana that, i gotta save her from lex" ...blablaaablaa. IN fact she is annoyed by it and seems concerned about this addiction. Has CK done anything else lately beside all the energy devoted to Lana????

I really cannot understand how slow he is...and how fixated on ONE GIRL he has been all this time. He isn't getting smarter, he has no other goals in life, he isn't harnessing his abilities, he has NOT MOVED ON.

This episode showed and for that matter this year has been the year for LEX, LANA, CHLOE, LIONEL,LOIS, MARTHA, and Even JIMMY. THey 've all improved and matured....

Clark's face showing how much he loves Lana makes you uncomfortable. Okay.

Superheroes need love too.

LOve????/ LOVe??? what love???? You mean utter infatuation? bordering Stalking? Obscession?

Clark knows nothing about love. Love is shown towards oneself first, value yourself, self worth, self appreciation.

If you go back..when has he shown love for himself or his place or origin? What is love?

In six seasons, Clark has shown very little movement towards becomming Superman. He just sits in the barn and play with his tractor.

Everone else has moved on and matured.

Does anyone remember in season 2 or 3, I can't remember witch one, the high school principal had Clark write an essay on where he sees himself in 5 years. In one of their loft scenes, Clark reads his essay to Lana in which he says that he pictures himself in 5 years studying journalism in College. He then says that I guess Chloe has rubbed off on me.

AG has stated that the reason no one has returned to College is that people sitting in lecture halls would be boring.

To this I say that Clark, Lana, Chloe etc. all went through 4 years of high school and I can count the times we saw them sitting in Class.

They could all go back to College and live off campus, I nod could be made once in a while to this fact, They could be seen carrying books, doing an assignment or studying for a exam.

In fact, how is Chloe an intern at the Daily Planet if she is not going to College?

In conclusion, Lex is evil, Lana is married, Martha is a Senator, Chloe is at the Daily Planet, Lois is working as a reporter and Clark is pathetic.

Oh yeah, Clark doesn't know what love is, yet you do? Love is universal term that can apply different to everybody. You can call Clark not in love all you want, but the fact is that he is.

He is obsessed, i give him that. You know something, love isn't that complicated. When things are that hard you ought to know something isn't right.

Not showing any sign of growth, not being willing to test the alternate option is sheer stubbordness and honestly pathetic. He is really setting a bad example for young boys out there, that it's ok to forgo your own growth and happiness as long as you love some girl.
That kinda thinking got me in trouble when i was younger...and i learned the hard way.

Today i believe in love, the love i have for myself. Others should be inspired by that love i have for me, and should they decide to share it with me , so be it. You have to be realistic in this world, and understand that this isn't a movie. What you think is true can change in a hurry. You have to make sure you are being yourself and honest with yourself, have dignity and respect for yourself.

And when a girl tells you to ...it, many many times...you have to really think for the future. What have you done for yourself lately?
CK has done nothing...he has no career goals, take away the strengh he has...and he won't even measure up to the drive and convictions of others on the show. He only inspire as he uses his powers...Right now in his stage, the human side of ck is pathetic

Love is complicated, it's VERY complicated. Love is suppose to be hard, you think every relationship is a fairytale? People don't just fall in love and live happily ever after.

Happiness? He isn't forgoing his happiness, he's trying to find his happiness. Happiness includes being with the girl you love and Clark has grown throughout years. He is most definitely someone you could look up to.

Clark wasn't bothered by Lana being pregnant because he knows it doesn't change who she is inside. He loves Lana for the person she is.

His love for Lana is unconditional. And if you've ever been in love then you know that Clark's behavior isn't scary, it's understandable.

You have obviously been living in a fairytale world! OMG i don't even know where to start.

Last sentense, If your own selfworth inspires others to want to be with you that is the ultimate. THink about it, if by being your good self others came to you, wouldn't you continue to be you?? You want to be in a relationship where you can be yourself at all time and the other doesn't ask you to change , or you feel you need to so do in order to get a girl. That is an unhealthy relationship. Lana and ck have had unhealthy ones forever, he needs to MOVE ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Love is complicated, it's VERY complicated. Love is suppose to be hard, you think every relationship is a fairytale? People don't just fall in love and live happily ever after."

The Ship! you sound a lot like Emerson, very nice, very poetic

You do NOT need a girl to make your life happy, to make you feel complete. I am all for Chlark, but CLark doesn't need anyone to be happy, he needs his family and friends, that's it...chasing after a girl for 6 years is not only disturbing but it is pathetic...

And the whole pregnancy thing?! Yeah he sees the good inside her!?! What?! This supposed good inside her slept with another man, and got "knocked up"...not only that, the other man was at one point his best friend, and now his enemy...she didn't do this because she was confused or drugged or anything like that, she slept with lex before they were married, before she saw the evilness in him...clark should've stopped right there because if she loved him soo damn much then why is she sleeping with other people!? She did it either because she obviously doesn't love him like she says she does, she just wants to hold him back because he has such a bright future! lol or she slept with lex because she knew it would make our bda po'd! So this whole good thing, i aint seeing it...

The way Clark acts is understandable when I remember how old he is suppose to be on the show and how I acted toward a certain some at that age.( Yes pretty pathetic) But as the saying goes time is the best teacher.

What love means is an eternal debate. Obviously many on this forum define it differently it goes from 1 Cor. 13 to a teenage love pop song. I think we have to remember that there is a wide range of ages here. Older people should remember when they were young and defined being “in love” as love and not realizing there are different kinds of love more than or just as important as Eros such as Affection, Friendship and Charity.

I agree with the person who said they think the writers are doing this on purpose. I think many young people go through this thinking that no one understands this “great love.” At this time Clark is going through this and I believe it is part of his journey to realize the world and love is bigger than him and Lana. It’s what makes a superhero when someone is willing to forgo something in their own life for the better good. We see it in other movies and stories such as Spiderman 2, Casablanca, Tale of two cities and so many more.

The thing is though, I'm 20, Clark and the gang are supposed to be around that age, and I'm not crazy like that! :)

And I've never met a guy or girl that was like that, of course this show is a little far fetched...

You're just rambling, I have no clue what you're saying. Lana has NEVER and let me repeat that, NEVER asked Clark to change. He doesn't have to change to be with her. You're just throwing stuff out hoping to catch something, get off your hate.

Sometimes it is not age but emotional maturity. I know 9 year girl who said Clark was making bad choices. 19 year old boy who thinks Lana is a ****. A 23 year old woman who just can’t bear much of this story line. A 30 year old guy who says Clark is to old for this. And a 43 year old who is dissuaded by Lana’s pretty face.

Like attracts like. Maybe if a person like Clark did hang around your gang you would give him some tuff love. But then he would leave to find others who would enable him in his destructive behaviour.

I was sooooooo annoyed with Clark in that scene!

Clark: LANA! I had to see you! By the way, this isn't about us, its about a friend of mine who happens to be in grave danger and for all I know she could already be dead! But I just still have to make gooey eyes at you, even though its not very flattering to my manly features. By the way do you anything about your husband that happens to be just in the next room and could come in at any moment. MY EYES!

lana: Yeah, I do know something!

Clark: Thats great! Lets makeout! *gets interrupted*

Clark: Damn! SOOOOO close to wasting valuble time that could have cost Lois's life! Life SUCKS!

Yes. Very pathetic indeed.

Clark: I don't have a problem dammit!! It's you who has the problem! All of you!!! Counselor: Mr. Kent, I think you have several problems. Not only are you addicted, but you have severe psychosis. You will spend several years in Belle Reve to get better.

For Clark to be an alien from a race that traveled from across the universe, making them a superior race, he acts more doofy as time goes by-maybe he was affected from radiation from entering our atmosphere. Anyway, Clark and Lana have become like a soap opera that will go on for ever, hurting people in their way.

I think its because both never got proper closure with their relationship. There's too many what ifs with the two of them. You can really get lost with Smallville's love triangle than the Bermuda triangle.

Anyway, I found it creepy Clark shows up in the Luthor's bedroom. But KK handled that scened beautifully, she's really matured as an actress, I really liked the scene when she closes the window, the sadness was a nice touch. Clark is really one messed up fellow, even when he becomes Superman, they never really show what he does during his free time. Oh wait, they do... he stalks Lois Lane. Hehe.

He should really be SuperStalker!:rotfl:

Clark supposedly quit school to take over the farm. I would've thought that the farm would thrive under the thumb of a smart Kryptonian, but apparently it is making even less money. He's obsessed...

He should stop lying to himself. He quit school so he could obsess, whine, and or pine over Lana.

The farm is the last thing on his mind. Pa Kent should be so proud.

If Clark is in love with Lana at all, it's the memory of Lana ,not the real Lana of today, not the Lana who got herself into all of this trouble wit Lex and Lionel , not the Lana who would let her husband die, not the Lana of such a short memory span that she forgot all of her real friends, not the Lana that would have sex with a pig like Lex Luthor, but the Lana who was the sweet, innocent girl next store, and she's been dead for a long time.

Clark blames himself for the situation Lana is in right now. In a way he's responsible. He rejected her and pushed her right into Lex's arms and now she's staying with Lex to protect him

Things have to be resolved with Lana and the situation has to be fixed before Clark can ever move on. If she dies he will blame himself and never become Superman. At the same time it will make his dad's death meaningless because Lana died anyway

IMO Lana will be the person who helps Clark choose his real destiny but it won't be caused by her death
