"Six years and after the death of his father, Clark is still obsessed with Lana."

"No Shelby."

You should have added "Super Dummy thinks losing Lana trumps his father's death on the worst things that happened to him list."

Although that is kind of long.

the almost Clana kiss. When the heck is Clark going to let go?

For the love of God, Clark. Move on! You're not a boy anymore!

Oh, but this isn't the story of Clark becoming Superman! This is the love story of Clark and Lana  (Al and Miles actually said that in the commentary for Tomb). Give me a break. I'll take anything but that at this point. Six years, come on!

I was mostly annoyed by Lois presence.
I still don't know what she is doing on this show, she brings a few laughs but other than that...meh.

It's ridicolous that Lois is so tight with MK and CK allready. I mean, how the hell can she NOT recognize Clak at a later stage? Massive bump on the good ol head or what? LÖL

I voted the "almost Clana kiss" because it was awful to see somebody who is supposed to be Superman wanting to kiss a married woman.

But, really, it was the reiteration to a sickening degree of Lois's name and the fact that her father is a general that got on my every last nerve.

Actually, while the pawing and almost Clana kiss were the worst becasue the ehro should not be thinking of kissing a married woman and it isn't cute or sweet, it's revolting and makes Clark look like a world class moron, almost everything about the ep was boring and awful.

Clark forgot Lana was going to let Lex die, apparently and he should have confronted her about that not though of kissing her. That is outrageous and the writer who keep ramming more adulterous Clana down our throats should be fired immediately.
I wan to see Lana pay and pay and pay for six years of self-centered manipulative behavior and outright imorality and evil instead of patted on the back and treated like a long suffering martyr. She claimed she wanted to be with Lex and was nasty to Clark so tough. I don't care what he does, Lana chose that bed and onw she should ahve to suffer the consequences like everyone else.

"Lois" was once again, only interested in something when it impacts her personally unlike Chloe who has been striving for truth and justice for the entire time we've known her. "Lois" once again ran to Chloe to do the real research and later aksed Marth to use HER favors to get what "Lois" needed. She can't so real research to save her life, it seems, even now. SHe once again stumbled onto info becasue her dad was i the army, a fact they beat us over the head with repeatedly for some reason. How could this pathetic woman really be Lois Lane?

Clark was *****y to Chloe for no reason and Chloe whined over JO being gone and really, that relationship is so one-sided and it's stupid they think we want to see Chloe with anyone but Clark. JO is just not her equal and AA and AM have no chemistry whatsoever.

The whole ep was ED heavy and when an ep has a lot of ED, it just doesn't fly. The actress just can't sell it and it's boring to watch her try. I was watching my clock every minute she was on screen. Except for Lex and the actually minimal Clark, most of which was wasted on the horrific Clana, the ep was a dog and the finale looks to be even worse.

wow no one has mention that "fight" between wes and clark where pretty much clark got flung around and then just used his heat vision to kill him.....this fight could of been sooooo much better but no.....i am acually a fan of clana so i cant agree with you guys on that thing

The one I would vote for isn't on there.

Clark killed someone.

It may have been a a brainwashed guy hopped up on super genes, but they still had him kill a living, sentient being. They had Superman kill someone - that's pretty wrong.

The "almost Clana kiss" was very disappointing. I didn't like how sensuously they filmed Nemesis' Clana hug either and this moment just reaffirmed the clanadestine extramarital love affair vibe which I never thought I'd find in a Superman/Superboy/pre-hero show.

First I thoght only option on which i dont vote will be "Nothing", but there are more.
Clark's silly mob-like threat to Lionel for me great.
Martha is leaving to become a U.S. Senator - whats wrong with that?

No Shelby and Clark pulling the guilt card.

The weak fight for me. The guy is invisible. Clark has xray vision and super hearing. How in the hell does Wes keep getting the jump on him. Plus if the guy can punch you through a wall, then he can take your hit. PUNCH HIM. This weak a** Clark thing has got to end. The Clana came in a close second, but nothing trumps a weak fight.

Clark pulls the guilt card on Chloe at the Talon-

That was so cold & uncaring. I went and listened to my 'Cold' music video of Clark & Chloe to pretend like he was simply consumed by saving Lana from herself yet again and simply forgot that Chloe in no way, shape or form pushed the Luthor nuptials.

In fact gave Clark a verbal lashing in 'Promise' for being a coward where his feelings with Lana were concerned.

I pretty much voted for all of the choices.

This episode had so many problems....

The "almost" Clana kiss.
and
Six years and after the death of his father, Clark is still obsessed with Lana.

Clark! just do it with somebody else! anybody else! I don't care at this point! Just get over this Lana crap! I can't take the indigestion anymore!

Lana's importance to Clark:

I see her as an important part of Clark's life in that he now needs to learn to transfer the feelings he has for Lana to the world at large. those feelings of wanting to protect cherish and love with the potential he'll receive betrayal, anger, misunderstanding, hurt, or apathy in return, and along with a knowledge of the frailty of the world, he needs to recognize it's need for guidance and justice, as an ever present theme.

"It's time son" ---grow the f*ck up!

Say good-bye to Lana.... say hello to the world!

I guess what I hated about the Episode is how they turned a great idea into a pushover. Here you have the product of a gazillion dollars, months of experimentation, supposedly Ares (Wes) has Titan's strength, a cloaking device, and a computer-like brain, and just by seeing Lois all his memory comes back, I mean c'mon!!! he was married, he must've had a lot of more intense memories of his wife (now death) than of a little army brat called Lois, so that was weak. And then for the first time we have a worthy adversary to the Man of Steel and is blasted away just by heat vision blast....laaaame. I'm betting MK doesn't return next season, she is going to Washington so she'll be out of the picture, they can't kill her so they just write her off....and they should give Clark something to do instead of just "farm chores"...

Die Clana! Die
07-13-2007, 03:59 PM
The reason Lois, the little army brat, triggered the memories is because Wes was brainwashed and isolated, and she is the first person from his past he comes in contact with. I'm sure if his wife would have been the one he saw, his memories would have returned faster.

As for the fight...yeah...laaaammmeee!

There are plenty of things on that list that I didn't care for, but three stand out among the others:
1) Martha leaving... I know they'd been planning it for a while, and frankly, she hadn't had much to do for some time, but still... she's Mama Kent!
2) The Chlark guilt trip -- seriously, how many times is Clark going to try to make Chloe feel guilty when she doesn't deserve it and then give her a hug when he realizes he's a jerk and all is automatically forgiven?!
3) I had to go with the "Clark still obsessed with Lana" thing, considering it's been six years of a roller coaster and Clark hasn't really given anyone else a serious chance (other than perhaps Alicia, and Chloe for two seconds).
