View Full Version : Phantom: Chlois or No!?

Some episodes make it clear that Lois is Lois, but some make us wonder..
This one was a non chlois.
Chloe did a background check and made a phone call.
WOOPTY FRIGGIN DOO!
Lois did the investigation, exposed a dirty official, got injured, and protected a good man.
Classic Superman:
Lois investigates an enemy of Clark, and so close shes put in danger. Clark saves her.
Very iconic.
Did I say phantom?
I meant prototype

And the best excuse they could give her was that she was an "army brat" who knew Wes? How many times are they going to pull that load of **** out of their asses? Give me a break.

About as many times as seeing someone hack into a database or google search their way to some information with the snap of a finger perhaps?

Do we have to fight in another Chlois thread? Come on, all the characters did a terrific job this episode. OK, Clark's battle with Wes was a little weak...

It seems funny that all her stories are always linked to her in a personnal way. Is Lois the story or does she write about the story. I'll say there may not have been alot of Chlois in this episode, but what they have shown is is a hotheaded Lois who doesn't think about consequences. Her character is flawed as they really haven't given her enough smarts to know when to be cautious (or realize she's working for a "RAG" newspaper). She has no idea what she's getting into and when IT hits the fan someone will pay the price, I doubt that someone will be her. How can the real Lois Lane be this stupid?

You mean as stupid as Lois was in Superman 2 when she jumped into the Niagra Falls or climbed the Eiffel Tower with terrorists threatening to set off a bomb, that kind of stupid?

You've got a point there, that was stupid. It's beyond believable that Lois Lane doesn't realize she's working for a tabloid and no one will take her seriously. Even Lois in the movies isn't that dumb. I have to give it to them in the new SR Lois seemed much smarter except for taking her son on a boat with Strangers. Didn't it seem strange that big boat sitting there and no one in the house?

Probably as stupid as Lois was in Superman Returns, going inside Lex's ship to investigate with HER SON. That kind of stupid.

I'm just pointing out something that I've been noticing in all of Lois' episodes. "I'm an army brat, I'm an army brat..." Next, they'll be telling us she can sniff out landmines because she's an "army brat."

lol So much bitterness against Lois being an army brat.
Lois' background on SV is being ripped for something that her counterpart in the comics herself possesses, and in many other versions as well. What does that tell you? ;)

Resistance to Chlois and Chloe vs. Lois in any Lois episode is futile. Someone always has to start it.

Couldn't agree more. :( We should start a love Chloe and love Lois thread. That would be a welcome change.

Or how about a thread wanting to bring Chlo-Lo back?
It's just so weird how some people relish in wanting to see the cousins to backstab, betray and piss off each other.
We can't even have a possibly touching Chlo-Lo scene in Phantom as indicated from the spoilers, without people insinuating "poor Chloe Lois is not only going to steal her man and her job, now her life force too.", when we know Lois herself wouldn't think twice about giving up her life for Chloe.

I don't get it either. The actress are good friends, all of them. The characters (Chloe, Lois and Lana) are always written as liking each others. It is almost unbelievable that their fans like so much to start a war that does not exist at all in the show.

I would say this ep was NOT a Chlois ep. But hey thats what the Noir ep was for. And Progeny with CHLOES expose. And now its Crimson and Prototype, so they want Chloe and Lois on the same foot as far as 33.1 goes....gahh!!! Stop the teasing!

EDLois could have the IQ of an inanimate object... and she'd still be a 100000x more interesing then SR Lois who was not half as much fun as EDLois.
(You just know she'd never say something like, "Yeah, you can catch me in the shower again" in a teasing manner with Clark.. and that Lois wouldn't do anything in this ep but go off and whine to Perry and Jimmy...)
But I love EDLois. and I don't care if she stated her newspaper... 'cause the senator asked and it gave her a better chance of staying alive.

I don't know why there is such a war over who should be with Clark. I myself watch the show for the mythology of Superman and the sci-fi writing and special effects. If I wanted crappy romance I'd watch a crappy show like Grey's Annatomy. Also, Clark can't sleep with any of these women without killing them, the only times even in the movies he's ever had sex is when he didn't have his powers. It is a pointless argument.

Eh. Shipper wars are never rational (just look at Harry Potter fandom). Smallville's are just more irrational and bitter since 70 years of canon history already tells us who Clark ends up with.
Some people just want their girl-of-choice to end up with Clark, and will just try and find any way they can for it to happen. *shrug*

It gets tiresome sometimes. You can never have a decent discussion about ANY female character in this show, without someone poping in to say how much that character is terrible or bad written or whatever. :\

Has Lois ever been "smart" street savvy yeah, but i don't think Lois will be winning any Nobel Prizes for Chemistry....

Word.
But anyway, I think the Chlo-Lo is very cool tonight. I love their scenes at the Talon and at the DP. The cousins are back, I hope they'll both kick Lex's butt into the next season.

Cant we just agree that they're both good characters and be done with it?

I wouldn't mind them working together. How about a Sullivan-Lane investigation team next season? It would be soooo cool. :)
