I know! I'm so happy that's he's evil and staying that way. Sucks that he just blew through his own men. He didn't even use blanks or paint - he really just let his men die. And then he said 'send in some fresh men'. Ouch.

I wonder if they qualify for life insurance.

Dang, he's going to kill his own wife next, unless she gets the heck out of there.

The men weren't killed, they were(in Lex's words) "disabled." Which means that their efforts were thwarted in a non-lethal manner.

Also killed the senator.

In Lex's words? Oh yes, if he said they were only "disabled," then it must be true. After All, everything Lex says is gold!

Hmmmm......have to rewind for that part too then. Didn't look like they were 'disabled' in a nice manner. I think those men are down for the count.

Dang, I saw the preview for "Phantom," and Lex slaps Lana. Goodness knows what else he'll do to her once he's had time to simmer. By the way, Kismet, I love your avatar.

They could've been rubber bullets.

Lex is the best developed character IMO, and this is exactly the type of evil character we all love to hate. They've got to keep this great development up, for sure.

I agree with this statement! I was in shock that he sanctioned the murder of 30 of his guards.

I suppose no one worries about the turnover rate of being employed by the Luthors. How do they keep getting guards?

I'm sure those guards really are dead, because Lex told his assistant to get new ones. Why would he need new guards if the current ones are still well and alive?

We don't know if they were killed or not since we never got to see them on their feet again. But they were clearly fighting as good as they could, and disabling someone can as well mean cutting off a leg or an arm holding a weapon. If that's the case, many could have bled to death or get other permanent and lethal injuries. Either way, Lex did not seem too concerned about the well-being of his soldiers.

Yes, I guess you're right. They could have simply have been too injured to carry on, but I still think they were killed. Somehow I doubt that Wes (under influence) would have left any of them alive. Lex programmed him to stop at nothing.
