It has, but I was a bit disappointed that this episode didn't really build up to it like previous "2nd from last" episodes.

I was excited _for_ this episode, but it let me down with the lackluster fight scene. Everything else about it was great, however.

Prototype was awful. Lois focused eps always are. And the nasty Clana and Clark *****ing at his only real friend, Chloe was appalling. I think this year's finale with absolutely suck. They squandered all the excitment and anticipation they got after Vessel by dragging out the repulsive Clana again against all that they built up during the first half of the season. They killed their show with the inexplicable and revolting Promise and now, people just don't care that much. Way to go, Al Gough. From the previews, I think it will be awful all ways around. I'll be glad when the season is over and despite the great job TW always does, I'm not looking forward to next year at all.

I felt it a weak episode considering it's the last one before the finale of the season.

We learned very little.

Lionel can still write Kyptonian and has the Phantom video.

Lana heals faster than a speeding bullet.

33.1 looks like a Borg Collective.

Lex isn't THAT evil, he's just afraid of the coming onslaught, therefore he's justified in experimenting on whomever he feels like.

Martha and Chloe are cute together.

Shelby has been dissed by the writers.

Chloe gave up the cute orange New Beetle for a product placement Yaris (we learned that last week....)

The commercial load is a load all right.

Pete who????

its just not exciting because it has nothing to do with the mythology like finales past. jor-el/fortress of solitude are the most interesting aspect of the show... almost all non-mythological plots seem unimportant filler to me.

this has nothing to do with clark becoming superman. this has to do with the creators wanting 8 seasons. there's absolutely no other reason to drag out lex and lana so exruciatingly, especially when they could do SO MUCH w lana knowing clark's secret.

I would have to say no. But I'm not going to miss the episode anyways. Hope they finish the season strong.

I think they are running out of ideas but thats another story.

I am totally in agreement here. It's like you read my mind. The creators are ruining the saga by dragging it out. IMO they should focus on Jor-el and Clark and not the pathetic love triangle.

It's odd but this episode has made me more excited about next season than the finale. The preview for the finale has me excited to see the finale. But I know that almost everything that was exciting about Prototype, especially Lois' vow to make Lex pay... isn't going to be realized until next Season.

I am excited about the Season finale.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with this.

:) :D Yes!, I already want to see everything, who´s leaving, who´s going to die, what´s going to be the next Clark´s step, what will happened with Lois after this episode and after the "phantom" episode, what will happen to Chloe, to Lionel, Martha and Jimmy, I m veri excited for all of that.:) :D

This episode was a dissapointment to me, but i'm looking forward to the season finale and mostly to next season! :D

I think that Clak facing Lionel (or setting off to face him towards next season) is his first step to realising his power and weakness, and how it can be exploited by people around him. I think it can be an interesting step to push him to want to get stronger and learn more about himself - go back to training etc.
Maybe facing his weakness puts him on the road to facing himself as a hero = superman!

Hell yeah i'm excited about next season :D

No, I hate when they kill characters off, it’s such a cop-out. I don’t want to see any of them go. I would like to see better writing of those characters so that I can love them again, especially Lana.
I’m not a Lana fan but I don’t want to see her die(if she's the chosen one). I wish they would have written her better in these six seasons. I wanted to see a strong, feisty & believable character, not as Clark’s “be all goddess”.
I have to wonder can Clark love Lois that much in the future after obsessing over Lana like this now. He is boarding on a mental health crisis with his fixation of her.
Where does he draw the line.

Haha, that is so true. He acts much like the jealous, stalker type ex-boyfriend.:D

the problem is.. they are doing the same thing again.. someone's life is in the balance... honestly this is the first season finale that to me will more than likly go out with a sigh...

the best season ender was the one where he threw the crystal.. and even then they had someone's life being threatened.. only to be resolved within 10 minutes of the show starting back up.. and never to be mentioned again....

Not really, although I thought it was an excellent episode. It seems as though we needed 1 more episode to really tie into whatever the plotline with the phantom involves.

I'm excited for every episode...but sad that next week is the last episode until September. I hope the finale is better than this episode. I think if the episode focuses more on Clark instead of Lois....I'll be happy.

If noir wasn't so lame, and they had a good episode that further developed the plot, the last four episodes after titan to the season finale have been spectacular imo, besides Noir.

I'm marginally more excited for the season finale. I thought "Prototype" was a great episode but it didn't really set things up for the finale that well.
