View Full Version : Preconceived notions of Prototype [no spoilers please]

After watching the director's cut & previews to this episode, I'm guessing that Wes, the prototype, died and that Lex told a half truth in Nemesis, but that the phantom took over his body.

What I'm wondering is, if Lex calls Wes a prototype and he is indeed possessed by the phantom, then how does he expect to mass produce these super soldiers when he only has 1 phantom? Could he have them spawn naturally because he doesn't know about the phantom zone? I also wonder why the phantom would work with Lex. He doesn't know enough about phantoms and how to control them. This makes me uncertain whether or not the Iguazu Falls phantom is inside Wes. Maybe his men studied Titan's body and found a way to create the prototype like that.

I think there are more zoners that are not accounted for. They mentioned 1 in India. I know Aethyr also lived and made it through, but they haven't shown her since.

Who is Aethyr? I don't remember that name at all in Smallville. What episode/s was Aethyr in?

I think Wes is the way he is because he got injected with that stuff that was initially meant for Victor in Cyborg. I wonder if Wes is also not flesh and blood anymore, but wired with hardware and inside him.

I'm thining that Lex got a lot of samples from meteor freaks in Belle Reve and injected wes with it. Maybe he put in some of that anti disease stuff from season 5

Hmm...one of the things I suggested was dead on. Another coincidence for the 2nd week in a row.

How do you watch a director's cut?

At the CW website. Go to the video lounge and click on the director's cut tab. They usually have it up by Tuesday.
