Routh, your avatars are always awesome.
I've been sticking with a cool one that Lexgirl made- I should see if there are any other nifty avatars out there. :p

The Clois was a lot more than I expected actually. Clark sent her a few tender looks, which was surprising, I loved the shower reference and I'm still giddy about him carrying her:D and for more than two seconds too!

Aww, I loved when he carried her! And they actually had some one on one scenes.

I loved it! fabulousness :D
I also liked the part where she's like "I need your help" and Clark instantly is like 'Alright I'm up for it' and then she's like "No not you, Martha!" and I was amused by that.
And I loved the shower comment and Martha's instant:  to it.
And the fun holding ;)

They can always deliver a fun scene when they're together. A nice break from the usual drama of the episode.

DeKnight always writes wonderful Clois. I'm gonna miss him. :(
Yeah, I'm going to miss him, too. I thought the Clois was spot-on today. It was where it should be. (Given that Clark is still in love with Lana.) He was genuinely concerned about her and it was very obvious that he respects her. I loved that she stayed at the Kents for safety. (And, of course, the Cloiser in me squealed at the shower reference.) But the thing that really got to me was the ending scene -- when Lois broke down as Wes died and Clark got tears in his eyes as he watched her. I love that Clark witnessed that vulnerability and humanity from Lois, because he sees her lower her defenses so rarely.

Clois in this episode was actually tear jerking. Clark was finally showing his protective side of Lois, again. Classic scene between them when Clark was trying to get Lois to stay at their house. When Lois said "you are just hoping to catch me in the shower again" Lois' facial expression, Clark's facial expression, and Martha's facial expression were priceless. Clark actually went to go see Lana to see what she knew to help save Lois. Still shocked. I could have sworen when he said "its not about you and me, Lois is in trouble" he was tearing up. Then after saving Lois from Wes, Clark watched Lois cry now that was real tear jerking it was like his heart was broken because he was watching Lois cry.

I did love the Clois tonight, especially Clark seeing her vulnerable and wishing he could help her.

Well, it was too much Lois and that is always bad. The ep dragged and nothing good came of it. There is no Clois planned and thank God for that.

I guess Clark feels protective of all his friends.
Though I wouldn't mistake what he feels for Lois at the moment as anything other than friendship, there is something between them. But according to TPTB and AlMiles "they'd never admit it to each other. Or to themselves."
While I think that clois isn't exactly something that can just be rushed into, I did really enjoy their scenes together in Prototype.
I'm actually hoping for more Lane&Kent scenes next year, like what we got in Reunion.

My favorite part was when Clark was talking about Lois to Lana, and the look of desperation in his face when he said 'Lois is in trouble' was priceless. I also loved how tenderly he adressed her in the Planet right after the murder: the way he said 'Lois' and how tenderly he asked her what had happened.
No one is claiming that Clark is in love with Lois, because right now, he is too worried and preocupied with Lana to fall in love with anyone else. However, whoever says that Clark does not like Lois, has not watched any episode they were in this season. They went through a lot since since they first met, and now he cares about her. He is in NOT in love with her, but he cares about her maybe more than he is ready to admit. He is attracted to her (Crimsom and Hydro proves that) and he saw her as a friend since Lucy.
Is Clark tender feelings ever turn into love in the timeline of Smallville? It is hard to know. It depends on DC and on the show producers. But there is no doubt that this season they went out of their way to show us that, somewhere, deep inside Clark and Lois, the seed of their future love is hidden. Neither of them is ready for yet, neither of them sees it, and neither of them would let it grow into anything if they knew about it. And if you ask my opinion, I really prefer it this way. I don't want TPTB ruinining them as they ruined clana. :\

When he was watching her cry over Wes you could tell that he was having to struggle to hold himself back. Probably wanted more than anything to just break his cover and walk over to Lois and giver her a hug or some kind of comfort. Seeing her cry almost brought him to tears. I found it to be a very important moment for the Clois relationship, especially for Clark.

Great post and I agree completely. Not to mention he seemed surprised at the end when she showed him her determination.

I agree. I definitely do not want Clois to be rushed, and I think Clark needs to move on and let go of his Lana fantasies before falling for Lois.
Same here. I look forward to more Lane&Kent moments next season. :D

I loved the Clois in Prototype. There was a little bit of everything. They showed easy friendship, fun banter and a bit of flirting, Clark was protective of her... I think the moment where Clark saw Lois crying over Wes was a Landmark moment for Clark. Just as with the kiss in Hydro, he secretly let in on a side of Lois he's never seen before and it adds perspective. That's one of the things that's so great about their relationship in the future. Lois is so abrasive, she's prickly and has so many walls but... Clark/Superman knows that in a lot of ways... it hides her soft heart and vulnerability.

Prototype definetly had some great Clois moments, my favorite being the referance to the shower scene. Clark was really protective of her and it was more than clear that he cares a lot about her, even if he's not in love with her yet (and I agree that he needs to get over Lana before that can happen).
And I love your avi, genvillewars92! :)

The fact that the first guy Lois kissed puked and passed out afterwards should give Clark a clue.Run Clark ruuuuunnnnnn. :p

the only reason why he puked and passed out was because she kissed him and he got really excited which made it worse with the whiskey he drank.

My favourite moments would have to be when he caught her and when he watched her breaking down over Wes' death. And I think it's not simply about Lois' mourning the loss of a friend, but also the way that she didn't give up on him even when he had tried to kill her as a "braindead assassin".

Fare enough.
I really havn't got anything against clana.
What frustrates me is how every time you think they're gonna get together something happens to keep them apart.

So someone is being rude, it gives another person the right to do the same? Why the need to stoop down to that someone's standards of bashing and low blow remarks?

Personally, I'm with you but I don't like "whiners" either. I think alot of us take it in the chin. As long as we don't get vulgar and sling personal attacks.
I have nothing against CLANA to be honest so I apologize on my behalf to the CLANERs who may have been offended by my CLOIS Brother/Sister. :)
