Did anyone else think that Chloe looked like the Lois Lane from the original Superman Series. The one with George Reeves. That is the feeling I got when I saw her. Even though she did look a little like Lucille Ball. I think they were trying to pay homage to the original Lois Lane.

No way. Allison Mack didn't look like Phyllis Coates.

Not Phyllis Coates, Noell Neil (sp?) and maybe a little bit, but I did think that she looked accurate for the 1940s not the 1950s.

She didn't look like Noel Neill either. She just wore her hair like how it was popular in the 40s.

I think Lois is actually meant to pay homeage to Margot Kidders Lois from the movies.
I believe AlMiles exact words when describing her were: "you look at Erica, and think 'that character can become Margot Kidder'."

What I find awful is that they have Lois Lane, and they reduce her role to the sultry singer having an affair with Lex, when she could have played a more foreshadowing, interesting role.

I thought Chloe rocked as tough cub journalist. I just loved her accent.

And just what was Chloe's position in the 40's DP? When Clark bumbled into her, perfect Chris Reeve style, he was all "Miss Sullivan..." I thought it a bit formal unless she had a higher status at the paper. For a moment I wondered if she was editor (!), but then again she would have been the one to hire Clark most likely, and surely would have met him.

So you're calling her a cartoon?

Actually, Fleischer's Lois in his series of cartoons was in many ways more real and believeable than Smallville's version of such. More likeable could be said for virtually every Lois who ever appeared on screen.

The style hun. The talk/the attitude/the action.
