Seriously, mates, when the hell is Clark Kent going to fly under his own power already?!?

His first major jump was in S3. His first flight was in S3 Finale/S4 Premiere... And a few times since then, he's displayed a few gravity-defying manuevers...

But, dang nabbit, I want to see Tom Whelling, as Clark Kent/Superman and not as Kal El (or some other entity possesing him) fly already! Is that too much to ask after six years, 100+ episodes and the discovery of all his other powers?

I mean, realistically, he should have known how to fly in S1 - He was floating! Maybe the blame should go on Jonathon Kent for not helping him develop that ability like his X-Ray or Heat vision ones!

Reguardless, I want to see SuperKid fly already!

Your not the only that feels that way thebog1 but Smallville was always about not seeing Clark fly. I don't know why though as when you imagine Superman, you see him flying above you saving the world!

Us fans should get to see him fly, maybe in the last episode of the show, I would be happy with that.

He still has too much issues with himself to be able to fly.

Originally it was said Clark would never fly, but I don't think they realized the show was going to go on for as many seasons as it has been, already.

I don't think it would be breaking any great promise for Clark to start flying at this point. Heck, he did it on purpose when he proposed to Lana at the Fortress in Reckoning, before the whole "going back in time" bit erased that from our current continuity.

I think they said that he would be easier to relate to if he stayed grounded.

^ Yeah, I agree it makes him more human. Besides, TPTB have a saying, "No flights, no tights", so it's unlikely that we'll see it unless it's in the series finale.

He hasn't found his inner child and his happy place...

We've seen him fly or hover multiple times so far, and while he's not yet been in tights, others such as the Green Arrow have been in as close to tights as we'll ever see here. I think we won't see Clark in his superman outfit, but I think we'll see him fly again before the series ends, and probably not in the series finale.
