The most important thing to me in this episode is the song.
"I need somebody else , somebody who loves me."
Jimmy truly loves Chloe.
Yes, Chloe loves clark more than Jimmy.
Yes, Chloe is "settling" for Jimmy.
But Jimmy is doing everything he can to win her over.
The lyrics to the song are really important to me in that if you can love the one you want , you love the one you are with.
"I need somebody else , somebody who loves me."

A truly 10 episode. I loved it.
And chloe looks extremely happy with Jimmy. And I am happy for chloe , she deserves someone to treat her first.

I'm happy for Chloe too and she does deserve someone who treats her first but Chimmy does absolutely nothing for me. This is probably the first episode that I thought they were actually boyfriend/girlfriend but in the long run I just don't see anything there.

I agree, this was the first epi I actually liked the ship but in the long run I see prob occurin. But for tonight I agree wit the first post, tho chloe is settlin its obvious she is atleast tryin to luv jimmy. The question is can she next season, she isn't in luv wit him yet but she's tryin to give it a fair shot.I always felt the only way for it to work would be to distant chlark sum but I doubt that happens, plus wit jimmy convo about chloe's tough life/his look at chlark in the dream...I think clark will remain an issue, and chlimmy jus may split at the beginnin of next season after his return. But for tonight/as of now I do agree jimmy is tryin to make her luv him and she is tryin to give in.But she's jus not quite there yet :p :)

It was the best Chlimmy all season. They were happy with each other and enjoying each other. Even at the end, when he told her he was leaving and she was saddened, you could still see she was proud of him and happy for his success. She could've been clinging, but she wasnt.

The thing that threatens Chlimmy is Chloe. She is the secret keeper. Even with Lana so close to knowing, she won't reveal it. And her loyalty to both Clark and Lana. If Jimmy is not part of that secret, (and she won't tell him, OOC), then it's the secrets and lies thing. Well, you know what happens to relationships in the SV universe with that in the mix.

You know what I want to see?

Jimmy be proud of Chloe for a change.

Jimmy acknowledge Chloe's success.

Instead, we get Jimmy portraying Chloe in his dream as his little 'fetch girl' who gets his coffee and sees to it that he stays "The Best." She's not even a reporter here, he downgrades her in his dream because he's so insecure in the relationship in RL that he sets himself on top in the dream. Then he proceeds to, instead of being appreciative of his GF's beauty, swoon after Lana, and have the hots for Nois. Could my respect for Jimmy get any lower? I didn't think it was possible, but this was predicted before the ep aired. So I'm really not all that shocked.

Now, in RL, we get Chloe being proud of Jimmy constantly. Where she's his cheerleader and always praising him, boosting his ego when he gets mopey and pouts like a baby. It's such a horrible relationship, I can't even really form proper words here lol.

It can't end fast enough and I'm saddened that they chose to have him leave w/o finalizing it permanently this season. I can see a setup for it next season, still doesn't make it better though.

chlarklove, SO MUCH WORD.

I will not settle for Chimmy and Chloe should not settle for Jimmy.

His dream disgusted me, how can someone claim to love another person yet dream them in a position that is subject to you. That is not love.

Then, she is always fluffing his feathers...yet he never considers talking her up on her journalistic endeavors.

So much dislike for Chimmy. I'm so mad and disappointed it didn't end.

I'm with you, MsSullivan. Jimmy [or maybe it's the actor himself] looks too young for Chloe and because of that, I don't take him seriously as her boyfriend.

I never thought of it this way, but I see your point. He's all smothering. You're right. I don't recall when he's been proud of her or encouraging towards her. Whereas she's been towards him. But, that's so in character for Chloe. Clark, on the other hand, has always respected Chloe and been supportive and encouraging. All he needs is a little of Jimmy's ardor and all will be well, no? :)

About the lyrics "I need somebody else, I need somebody who loves me", I just realised they sound like a break up. Like Jimmy and Chloe need someone else. I've never been under the impression that Chloe actually loves Jimmy either.

Another POV for the lyrics could be that they're talking about Jimmy. Because Chloe really doesn't love him. She may be trying, but her heart will always belong to Clark.

No it's not. This is the first season they've turned Chloe into some Big Cheerleader Podperson. She encourages Clark because of who he is and thinks he's amazing for what he does. But that doesn't stop her from also telling him when he's being stupid.

With Jimmy that's not there. The one time where she got firm with him about something was in Fallout, and that was when she told him he had no story, he needed facts and that the Luthors play 'hard ball'. He took this negatively, pouted and ignored her phone calls like the immature little boy he is.

Huh? Do you mean Jimmy needs some of Clark's ardor? If that's the case then, no. All will not be well. Because that still doesn't change the fact that he's immature, insecure and possessive.
