What a fall.... but Clarkie was there to save her.... Her own personal superhero !

That was mostly my fav moment of this epi tonight...

That was really cute, can't deny there some really cute chlark moments in this one.

I didn't like that scene, mainly because Clark ducked responsibility. He should have known that she called him for a reason other than falling since no human could dial a phone while in backwards free-fall like that, not to mention that fast. He left Jimmy in danger too, though thankfully Jimmy was able to take care of it.

Was it the first time we saw Chloe in some short of special FX like that ?

Chloe called Clark before she even got into the fight.

the scene was a bit arkward. But I'm just a sucker for Clark saving Chloe scenes. Because their ship is very cute.
But whoa!Did you see her fall! the Daily Planet was built by Albert Hitchcock.

That's what I was talking about. Clark should have known that she didn't call because of her free-fall and about something else. He shouldn't have wasted time bs'ing with her and asked her why she called.

The effects were a bit goofy... looked a little like a director's cut... no scream...

But that was a great Chlark moment when Clark caught her. :)

I loved how she scolded him for waiting so long to catch her. LOL!

it was an amazing special effect...and she fit pretty well in his grip....

i dont think he came simply for 'the fall"...just that by the time he got there, things had already progressed to that point...and he did kinda stay around to make sure everything with her and Jimmy was ok

haha you do realize chloe falling from that height into his arms is like falling into a forklift. Its simple physics that ruin it for everyone. If there is no deceleration she would go smashing into him like he was a concrete wall. And no, clark bending his knees 6 inches won't make that a comfy landing.

Remember the Lionel and Martha elevator scene?? Same thing!!

Yeah, Clarks' got that whole superspeed thing, so he probably already assessed the situation way before he caught her. Besides, if you look closely, it looks like Jimmy knocked the guy out right before Chloe fell.

In spite of being cute, Chloe probably would've hit Clark like she would've hit the floor.

Or, maybe Clark's really, really soft. :) Let's go with that one.

Of course she would have - it's called suspension of disbelief. You gotta have it for these shows to work.

and if we recall...when Clark says "where's the fun in that"...it parallels to Rush in a number of ways:

1) Chloe falling and the catch: fall from the kent loft, fall from the DP railing

2) Pete tells redK Clark and Chloe to 'find a room' when they are making out in the back of his car...clark says: "where's the fun in that?"

so they do remember their past episodes!!!!!..i would have never thought!....or maybe just coincidence...and we are just die hard fans who make lots of connections in plots and lines

Yeah, the stair scene was very Chlarky. From her calling him for help and him catching her after her fall. But, that silent "Thank you" she uttered to him showed she's finally over Clark. I thought the expression Clark had hiding behind the shelves was also great. He was happy for her. Their friendship is still the best.

It's those kinds of moments that make me go, "And, these two characters aren't romanically involved...WHY?"

Such a romantic save and GREAT to see Clark back in heroic style.
VERY Superman-esque.

Reminds me of "Rush'..."if I fall, would you catch me?" :)

It was really awesome to see that moment JUST between Chlark. Showed they have such a strong connection that they don't really have to say a lot of words and still understand each other. All she had to say was "thank you" and that was enough.

The falling down the stairs was pretty rough-looking, but I'm guessing they had to save money for the finale at the point that they shot and cut that episode.

that scene is one of the things my SV heart lives for! :)

and yeah with the Superman music" playing in the background... *sigh*

(the ep was remininscent of the Superman movie, very Chloisy, in that he meets her as bumbling Clark Kent then catches her falling)

"where's the fun in that," i DO remember! *sigh* :D

I disagree that her thank u was a sign she's over clark, but jus her sayin thank u for savin her. When he caught her they tease each other, then jimmy started askin questions.I think her thank u was more so cause he got there in time and save her. Those feelings aren't goin anywhere tho...But the scene was sweet tho and I agree their friendship is still the best.Right now clark is happy for her,the same as she was for him last season.

I never noticed how small AM was compared to TW.

How often does she have to stand on a box during their scenes together?

I actually thought it was lame that he just showed up to catch her and then left. It seemed like a last minute addition . . . like the writers thought "uh oh, we don't have any Chlark in here, we'd better add some."

Lame.

And since when does Chloe call Clark instead of 911 when someone has been SHOT?! Do we know the reporter was dead? Did she?

Very sketchy.

She made the right call. You forget that the assailant was still alive and fighting with Jimmy. So, here were her options at that point:

A. Call Clark, who has superpowers, can be there in a flash and stop bullets from killing her or Jimmy.

B. Call 911, wait 10 minutes for someone to show up with everyone dead.

The catch was so darn cute to me. Chlark's care-free, angst- free relationship is very enjoyable to watch.

It kind of reminded me of the deleted scene from Tomb. However, Tomb SCREAMED chemistry; Noir whisperd it.

I didn't mean she shouldn't have called Clark. I just meant maybe she should have called both Clark and then 911. Someone was shot and Clark, the last time I checked, is not a paramedic.

lol..true..both AM and KK are quite tiny compared to TW. I also read somewhere about having them stand on apple crates when doing scenes with him. What I also notice is that Chloe wears shoes with LOTS of heel...to add to the height. Look at the scene where the reporter gets shot in front of them, and Chloe ducks behind the table calling Clark: you get a glimpse of her shoes there, and they are TALL....

and as for why she didnt call Clark and 911..well, i call a few things:

1) either she did call both in the time between the on-screen call and the three-way fight...and it just happened in Offscreenville (which many things do)...or

2) they are going to call the paramedics etc after the 10 floor drop (again, offscreenville)..or

3) it is a writing hole that so often happens on SV

4) all of the above

The chlark catch was totally cute. :) :) I even experienced a little jealousy for Lois' sake just because it was such an iconic rescue. ;)

Chlark do have sweet chemistry that IMO has improved now that Chloe seems to have moved past the will-he?-won't-he? stage. I liked how comfortable she was mouthing "thanks" right after to Clark over her boyfriend's shoulder. No angsty pining, yay!

Definitely. Clark brings the results. :) I mean, if he had something better to do during the episode then it might've been a problem. To me, I always found it weirder that Chloe never called Clark in Hydro to face off Linda Lake.

It gets better every time I watch it! The playful bantering kind of reminds me of Sneeze. Clark faking a sneeze to get a smile out of Chloe. And now, he says, "Where's the fun in that!"

SWEET!

Maybe it was becaue she was protecting Clark from Linda and Lana. Linda was about to expose Clark to Lana and the world. I dont remember if she'd actually witnessed his powers, do you?

Yeah, I mean it was cool the way Chloe and Lana handled the freak on their own but I just think that it's more OOC/note-worthy for Chloe NOT to ask for Clark's help when in danger (considering that she knows he's unmatched in his rescuing capabilities) than to do so. :) Esp. since Linda was a known freak, not just a locked freezer (btw, I thought it was good they showed Chloe call Lana etc before bothering Clark about that little mishap).

It's true that Hydro took place during a time period when Chloe was trying hard to keep her Lana and Clark obligations seperate, so I see what you're saying, do3mire. But since Linda knew his secret (no, she didn't ever actually witness a Clark power but she overheard some pretty big stuff --enough for a gossip column), I think it would've been standard stuff for Chloe to inform Clark of the situation.

Ever since Chloe found out his secret, she has been a real team with Clark. I am not a romantic Chlarker and Chloe isn't even generally one of my top 5 characters but I think the show makes it clear that Chloe is a big priority for Clark (after Lana and his parents) and that Clark is a big priority for Chloe (bar none). I don't think she's Jimmy Olsen on the show but even if she was, Jimmy Olsen was "Superman's Pal" and given an important something Lois never had: a special signal watch to call for Supes help whenever he wanted. *shrug*

Again, a cute scene. :) Secret-sharers rock! :D
