I actually thought the commercials were pretty short this episode.
Maybe it's because on the CW they were showing the 'Smallville Justice Comics' that were considered commercial breaks, and I find them entertaining. Right after, they'd go back to Smallville.

So they weren't so bad for me!

This is totally off the Smallville topic but yeah, those commercials, plus, where ever you live, they have your own countires commercials, the ones where I live, really get on my nerves. There is this commercial, where a cowboy guy with a hat, is dancing, and saying, "Come over to Homer Skelton Ford!...We don't care how ya get ere, folks, just get here! We'll get em all by 259, blah, blah, blah" :mad: :mad:

Those Comic Commercials are good but its hard to read what the characters are saying. I think CW thinks that everyone that watches Smallville are speed readers!! I have to agree DVD'R's ROCK skip all those commercials is a great thing!

Commercials suck.Even the justice comic commercials are so fast hard to get all the text in and also be able to see the picture beofre they go to the next scene.The first episodes on smallville were like 5-20 mins longer now the commercials take that time ;(

A lot of commercials for sure and they do suck. The Justice and Doom stuff is okay but like the rest say, they flash by way too fast to read everything on them.

The good side is the quality of the corporations doing the commercials during SV. Do you think Toyota, Olive Garden or Verizon would be advertising on a show that has a sh1tty audience? Those are major industries - not some K-Tel Records commercial or the Ronco rotissere commercials. That's good news for SV fans.

But I agree - the commercials are too long and too frequent.

I'm not sure how it's timed out now, but Smallville episodes used to be 41 minutes, without commercials. :\

I video tape and pause during commercials. Yes, I know, old school. But they come out to almost exactly 41 min. The commercials are just so long it seems like they take up half the ep.

Believe it or not, a couple of episodes this season have actually been 39 minutes long without commercials which is extremely short. I know that Labyrinth was 39 minutes and there was one other episode that was 39 as well.

The show is now usually only 40 minutes, while most other shows are around 45 minutes.

It always cracks me up when people complain about commercials.

Tape the episode, and then watch it after it's done so that you can fastforward through the commercials. Of course there is a DVR/TIVO solution as well. But either way, waiting an hour to watch it recorded is so much better than watching live.

i obviously hate tv commercials but there was an mlb game so they moved smallville from 7 to 10 pm and the game still took like till 10.10pm so they cut Tv commercials :p yay i was lucky but pissed for the moved schedule -.-
