What did you think about Chloe's treatment of Jimmy?

One of her best friends was shot. She didn't really care about politeness at the time.

Why not? Why can't people be polite? Our society has thrown common courtesy and politeness to the wolves. It's a personal peeve of mine the way some of the characters treat each other on this show.

Anyway, Chloe's relationship with both Clark and Jimmy appears to be getting more and more complicated.

Chloe did treat Jimmy poorly but I'm just glad it wasn't a big issue between Chlimmy the way that some were expecting after seeing the director's cut. Everything was cool with Chlimmy at the end of the episode.

I voted Bossy because the situation called for it. Lana just got shot and Chloe and Clark were worried for Lana.

Anyways, Chloe made it up to Jimmy at the end of the ep.

politeness aside, how could he continue his movie date when such a key player (lana) gets shot? Chloe did the right thing by getting on the story.
Besides she really LIKES Jimmy. If she loved him...at the end she would of asked him to stay.

i think the fact that he's leaving says a lot. the fact that he'd want to walk away, and the way it's kinda blatant that she likes him, but doesn't see him as a man...you almost can't blame him, it's not like he understands why...i mean, chloe says that clark can do better than the police, and jimmy can...ummmm...download some camera phone pics?

i did think it was important that even in jimmy's head, in a dream, chloe never abandons him when he needs help, but is still completely smitten with clark in the DP scene.

I thin she was bossy, but the situation called for it. I mean, her best friend had just been shot.

But at the same time, it was pretty rude. I don't know, I'm kinda on the fence. He IS her boyfriend.

while i'm not giddy about chimmy "love"..whether she likes him or loves him, she would never ask him to stay for her or them. It was a job opportunity for him, and she was proud of him...and wanted him to take the opportunity and succeed...

a nice parallel to Clark here: i dont think she would ever ask clark to stay, when, for eg., he has to go for training...

it is a lesson that they portray throughout Smallville....self-sacrifice for a bigger purpose....she did it with Jimmy here, Ollie had to do it with Lois, Clark was supposed to learn this in Labryinth, but he is still learning this all throughout the series....

it was a good parallel

oh, btw, i said too bossy, and as stressed as she probably was, how you act in those situations shows how you really feel about someone sometimes...

It's not that she got on the story. She could have been more polite about it. Jimmy isn't a lapdog or lackey to be barked orders at.

Jimmy's expression was very telling though. A picture says 1000 words. I don't think he was pleased at all with the treatment he was given.

Really good point. I completely agree.

she was bossy when she needed to be, otherwise she's been nice to him :)

Too bossy - she acted like she was telling Clark what to do again.

I had no problem with how Chloe acted. Jimmy is a grown up, and a photographer at a renowned newspaper dating a journalist. When the s**t hits the fan, its time to suck it up and do your job. I saw no problems with how it went down.

Not enough options. I don't think she treated him too badly, except for when she and CK ignored him as they were talking. I liked the Chimmy

She was bossy. They made up. Seriously, why is it that big of a deal?

Overall, very good. She was a little rude to him when she and Clark were brainstorming but... same old same old.

Chloe treats Jimmy like Clark treats Chloe.

EXACTLY.
When Jimmy gave Chloe the look after she wanted him to do deal with the pictures, I just rolled my eyes and thought "get over yourself, Jimmy".
He should have actually been glad to work with her because he was all excited about "her words and his pictures" in "Fallout".

She only did what was necessary. She is not bossy.

I agree with you. Jimmy totally jeyed into how much faith Chloe had in Clark in reality- and how he got downgraded to uploading camera phone pics.

Also, in his dream he was totallys mitten with Chloe- and made Clark a bit of a goofball in front of her. His subconscious trying to make him less appealing?

i think jimmy's overly sensitive
and if chloe's being so "bossy" then why doesnt he tell her. i remember in the early seasons when chloe went full on reporter instead of friend to clark, he'd always stick up for himself.

i mean. come ON jimmy..

The kid is not a puppy. He understands people when they talk to him he does not need to have a command thrown his way. He is a normal human being (if you ignore the bow tie fetish). She seemed pretty bossy. I has been made known that he has been a photographer for quite some time now. I think he can do his job. Although he CAN try to be a little less sensitive.

So yall think chloe is bossy because she told him to print those pictures??? Well if that is the case clark is bossy, lana is bossy and everyone else is bossy because they are always barking orders at chloe.

Chloe's treatment of Jimmy is just fine. If she is too mean or aggresive for him, then he should toughin up

I've said it before, but there's trouble a-brewin' for Olsen and Sullivan. Their brief "break" earlier this season is just the tip of the iceberg. It's clear that Chloe has complete faith in Clark, and how could Jimmy not feel sidelined bit by bit.

Heck, he asks her to call 911 and she speed-dials Clark. That was the part that irked me. It was almost like: "Well, that sorry reporter's dead meat anyway -- I'll just call Clark to save the day". She may not have meant that at all, but it was just another instance where Jimmy gets the subtle brush-off.

I think Jimmy is way too sensitive & insecure, but Chloe also needs to learn manners (as that Doyle character from Truth told Clark).

Thank you! I agree on both counts. Jimmy needs to stand up for himself and say, "Look, you can't treat me this way" and Chloe needs to exercise some manners. "Please" and "thank you" go a long way and cost you nothing. I am not advocating that the cast starts wearing funny hats and frilly doilies as they did in the 1800s, just that I would like to see some manners once in a while.

I just watched this episode again and wanted to see if anyone else noticed this too.

My reaction was a little bit of shock when Clark and Chloe so obviously turned around and kept talking, ignoring Jimmy. I was surprised at how blatant it was.

It seems that no one else can keep up with those two. :)
