I'm sure as many of you know, usually in film noir movies, someone is seen smoking a cigarette. I don't think any of the regulars have ever been shown smoking a cigarette. Do you think anyone will be smoking and who?

I hope no one does. It's a bad example to show on t.v.
It looks like Lana just was.

We got Lana, Lionel, and Lex.
All the Luthors (even if one's by marriage haha).

He's the same age as Chloe. Yeah, smoking is a bad habit that I personally wouldn't do, but he's old enough to legally do it if he wanted.

Kid? Aaron will be 28 this year. Lol!

Aaron is a whole two years younger than Tom Welling who is 30 as of last month.
Plus, back in the days the dream was set in, kids 14 years old smoked regularly.

I know but he's a kid. And in the Kirk Allen series, Tommy Bond's Jimmy Olsen never did smoke. Noir did Jimmy smoke in the Goerge Reeves AOS series.

In the dream sequence, when Lana first called on the phone, she was exhaling smoke.
Lex, Lionel & Lana - the Luthors are smoking. They are the evil ones now.

Oh, I think Lana's been naughty and smoking through her pregnancy. Ever notice how her voice is huskier this season? ;)

John Glover was actually smoking his cigar.
Kristin Kreuk and Aarson Ashmore both held cigarettes but never smoked.
I didn't see if Michael Rosenbaum actually did or not..

I never smoke, I hate smoking, but I had a cigar playing golf, and had it left over during the episode.
I puffed on that cigar alot. It was great.
Noir is the best.

I have a saying:
"I don't smoke, but I chew,
you don't blow smoke in my face,
and I won't spit on you."

SWEET Mother of some iconic figure.
This is one time when you actually have consistancy. To make a noir film you need just about everyone smoking. It was the thing in most of those movies. Hell around that time the us government issued ciggarettes to G.I.'s. Its a complete 180 to what we think about smoking today but back then it was appropriate and considered in bad taste if you did not offer a guest a smoke.
Though it was kinda fun to see who on the cast actually smokes/(ed) in real life. John glover totally a smoker, Kristen not at all, the cig looked awkward and clumsy in her hand. it was like a flashback to a time i was never in haha

Lana smocked at least twice.
Lionel smocked cigars. It was so natural for him in the bartender's role.
Lex and Jimmy smocked too.
Clark,Chloé and Lois are the only ones who didn't have the nasty habit.

Clark - he could because nicotine dont affect on him (the same with alcohol)
Lana - she could too, but i dont want wait until she die on lung cancer
Lex - No. I imagine Lex with cigarette and i dont like it
Lois - Deffinitely not. She drop it and i hope it never come back.
Chloe - shes to pretty for smoking. And she dont need that.
Martha - impossible.
Lionel - dont care.
Jimmy - if he want to be with chloe he keep away from cigarettes.

Considering that when the film is set EVERYONE smoked, I'm glad they kept that part of the noir mystique. Not that I support smoking (I've never been a smoker) but considering The Flintstones did cigarette ads, and many early TV shows were sponsored by cigarette companies, it was too pervasive in society not to use it in Noir.

It was totally appropriate to the concept of the episode for smoking to be so pervasive.
