Sylers painting of President Petrelli

I'm putting this thread in this episode discussion so I don't have to post a spoiler, even though it refers to the previous ep. Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, super laziness is my power!

Anyway, I just saw the avatar for DiscoDyslexic: the aforementioned painting. I remember people talking about how it differed from Isaac's painting, how it had a more impressionist feel. It just struck me looking at it and having watched Five Years Gone, that it could look the way it does because Syler was actually painting HIMSELF. Frankly the picture looked kind of like him anyway (dark hair, strong jaw), I like to think that the likeness of that man was part of both Syler and Nathan.

LOL, well I always thought Sylars paintint was of himself in the whitehouse. I didn't understand why he painted himself there until Five Years Gone though.

Yeah, I always thought that the painting was just warped to fit Sylars "odd" veiw of the world around him, then about a week ago someone started a thread that said maybe it was him impersonating Nathan, so then I thought that's why Nathan looks so scary, it's Nathan+Sylar.

My first take on it sort of delt with the bomb and lindermans power, cause in the painting he kinda looks like frankenstien, so my theory is that lindeerman, when he rises people from the dead makes them like zombies, and thats what happens to nathan. i know its kinda outlandish but eh

The novels have said that linderman can only heal those still living.
