In the trailer, thomson says that Molly is the only one that can stop Sylar (If you dont know who molly is, she was the little girl that parkman found in the wall of the house where sylar got the freezing dude in episode 1), what do you think her powers are?
The ability to kill people who go by the alias "Sylar". That'd be a weird power.

When she touched the hand of one of the cahracters of the show in the preview she may be able to calm thoughts down or put goo thoughts in your mind.

so her power is the power of lavender? too sooth and relax? Or is it the Serenity now power?
I'm wondering why Matt doesn't just turn off Sylar's mind - or is that not something he's capable of?

I think Matt's just telepathic, so he probably can't, but now that you mention it, the Haitian should be able to. Then again, he is associated with the Petrelli family, so maybe nathan or angela (which is probably more likely) told him to stay out of the way.

Oh right - I remember last episode when 'The company man' mentioned 'too bad this is just one way' meaning that Matt could listen but couldn't respond. So maybe he can't really enter into someone else's thoughts.
And you're right - the Haitian should be able to null Sylar - shouldn't he? Maybe Sylar's not really like the rest of them so the Haitian can't null him?

It's probably because Sylar is too powerful (I think Peter is the same way). They're probably the only two who can nullify the haitian's powers.

Maybe - or maybe it's that both Peter and Sylar have multiple powers. Maybe the Haitian can only damper one power at a time?
But if that's the case then why did Matt hang upstairs so that they were safe because the Haitian was blocking powers? Maybe he can block Peter's power - just not Sylars......because maybe Sylar doesn't have a power like the rest......in the very beginning Mohinder's dad told Sylar that he wasn't special like he thought? Maybe Sylar made himself that way somehow?

Well, wouldn't Peter absorb the Haitian's powers and be able to cancel out his cancellation?
I wonder why parkman didn't sense that "Nathan" was really Sylar...
Thats a good point about Peter, but also the Haitians powers aren't just to nullify other people's powers. He can steal memories as well, so theoretically he could have just wiped out Sylar's memory, that way he'd have no recollection of trying to steal everyones powers. Also, until they explain the exact science of Sylar's "brain eating", we really wont have any idea of how the Haitians powers will affect him. It makes sense that Peter can nullify his powers, but I haven't seen anything to indicate that Sylar should be able to do the same thing.

But if Peters powers were nullified, then his powers wouldnt work to get the powers!

Actually Peter only has one power, it absorbs other powers. The hatian should be able to stop him if he wanted to. The hatian can apparently focus who he impedes because Parkman could still use his. Maybe he never stopped working for the Petrellis.

Someone needs the power to reset those with Peters powers, so He will have to start coming in contact with people to get powers again.

I keep thinking about what Tim Kring said about how we'll become conflicted and grow to care about Sylar as the show progresses, and how we shouldn't assume we know everything about him.
What if Molly is Sylar's daughter?

James Walker is her father, it would be quite the twist though.
Sylar seemed to have a very uneventful and even boring life before this, I don't see him having an affair with a married woman or having a daughter he doesn't know about. Or does know about for that matter. I think it's her power that can stop him.

I'm not going to grow to care for Sylar too much. The dude kills our heroes! Isaac is gone and it's that poopoo head's fault.
But, he's still a cool villian so whatever, lol.

Is "poopoo head" a technical term? :D
Maybe Molly will have the power to alter the Brain or DNA. Similiar to the kid on Xmen. But instead of coming near her she will have to concentrate on what needs to be done.

 Well I wanted to say something else but....
Anyways, I'm not sure what Molly can do but whatever it is it's useful enough that Future Hiro is willing to bring her into battle with him to save his past self (or our Present Hiro).
Also, if Molly is the girl that Matt finds scared in the closet then whatever her power is, it's powerful enough that it saved her from Sylar at least once already.

No, I meant maybe the Walkers were her foster parents. It's probably too much of a stretch, but it would be an interesting twist.

Oh, foster parents, that makes more sense. I could see that, but I still doubt it.

Not exactly, the Haitian culd cancel out peters power so peter couldn't cancel the haitians cancelation, unless peter canceled before him

Or they could just do rock, paper, scissors.
Peter: I cancelled you.
Haitian: Not fair. I called no cancellations.
Mrs. Petrelli: *sigh* I could see this coming a mile away.

Perhaps she is the opposite to Linderman, maybe she has the power to cause death for whoever she touches or something.
I think its going to be a really coool power though, something really strong that could kick Sylar's ass.

She ain't the only one anyway.
the haitian could aswell - he could just stop his powers and beat the crap out of him.
hiro could - just freeze time and slice him up real nice

In the clips for the "The Hard Part" it looks like Hiro trying to stab him while time stops, But Sylar Breaks free. Well thats what it looks like, it could be Hiro imagining it or something and I'm not too sure about the Haitians powers either. If the Haitian were to not win, well I would hate to fight that Sylar.

I think Sylar has a way to figure out how the powers are used against him. And prevent them from being used later. So he has already meet the Haitian and he might be able to work around the Haitians powers.

When sylar is seen moving his eye, thats when his mom tries to stab him with a knife or whatever. I think sylars gonna take on of his parents powers(If either of them have any, namely his father who is dead

I dont htink his mom had a power, I think his dad will as they will reveal in season 2 along with pa Petrelli.
RedPhoenix23

Probably. It would also help explain Sylar's mom's reaction to him having powers and her disgust at his dad's wall clock. Sorry "time peice".
