Is this the first time the Smallville tv show has acknowledged that Clark gets his power from the sun?

Clark figured out the sun had an effect on him during the "Perry" episode when his powers shorted out during the solar flares. But I think this is the first time we get a hint that maybe he's figured out that his powers are charged up by the sun.

That was a really cool moment. I loved that simple sun shot and Clark smiling.

I think this new director is one to watch.
