Smallville is definatley at it's best now. ever since hydro I've been 10/10 ing every episode, and nemesis, well what can I say? It was an all time favourite. Christ allmighty it's good, the plot thickens and Im at constant suspence. Can't wait untill next episode.

I have to agree. The writers and actors have really stepped it up this season.

I think its one of the best seasons and the writers and actors are really trating their role fairly..!!!

Although..I would say that Promise was the worst episode I would say...!! But that aside..I have more or less loved all the rest..!!

I actually loved Promise, although I didn't like the Lexana wedding per se. The lamer in my opinion was Progeny.

I totally agree with you HnK but I still think more could have happened in the Justice episode. I know its only a 1 hour TV show and we saw introduction of the Justice League, however more action was needed.

The acting has been immense this season and every actor/actress has held their own. I sometimes look back at the earlier seasons and can't believe how poor the show was? There were too many fotw and the filler episodes were pointless.

I think from Season 4 onwards, the show just got better. It almost has became more believable

I couldn't agree more. There've been a few stinkers this season but all in all I think it may be my favorite. I've been rewatching SV from season 1 and I really love how it has evolved. I'm more addicted now than I've ever been.

I'm pretty happy with this season. There have been a few episodes that could have been done better. But so far, I'm still intrigued with what's going to happen next (and that's even after reading the spoilers). So go SV!!!

I feel exactly the same but at least it is coming back unlike some TV show filmed in California (I think), you know The O.C. lol

Things have been picking up but it's not as great as it was the first 3 season, IMO. I have hope with the new directors and writers. I like that there is meaningful dialog going on. Not just pissing whining between everyone about whose dating or not dating who.

I'm really looking forward to the final 3 (only 3!?) episodes this year. I have a feeling they'll really leave us all in suspense on this years' cliffhanger ending.

This is probably the second best season behind 3, but it is a massive improvement over seasons 4 and 5.

Yeah, I agree here. Seasons 1-3 were very good. The focus was where it was supposed to be, no soapy episodes and storylines.

The biggest disappointment this season for me is that in Zod, an awesome storyline was started with Lionel writing those Kryptonian symbols that translate to power and he is obviously up to something. It is not 19 episodes later and we have not progressed the slightest bit on what he's up to.

What also bothers me is that this season is also going to have its own Ageless, being Noir---a pointless filler near the end of the season when there are so many things unanswered, and Lionel's storyline still undeveloped.

I think had the 2nd half of the 5th season been as good as the first, it would have been the best season. But I still think that seasons 2 & 3 are the best and may remain that way, unless 7 realloy turns up the heat.

The first half of this season was OK at its best, and nothing special to brag about. They had an interesting character in Raya, but killed her far too quickly. Static was horrible and Subterranean didn't add any value. Hydro was good. Justice made Clark look like a complete ass, and I hated it for that. Crimson & Trespass were good. Freak was great, but then Promise was Reckoning all over again. I have to say the best episodes of the season were Combat and Nemesis followed by Freak. I think once this Lexana thing is over (and hopefully it's the end of this season or the 7th season premiere), the show will be able to start picking up pace.

But I think the biggest letdown to the show has been its toned down use of the best character--Lionel. Since season 4, he was barely used and instead replaced by too many shipper based episodes. The balance has been broken for a while, and until it's fixed the show won't be as good as it once was. I have been suggesting for a while that Clark should make a Naman suit & identity and use these to do his heroics. That would be a way of getting back to the great ending of Talisman and applying the cave legend back into the show, something that added great value back in seasons 2 & 3. They have all this stuff in the Justice & Doom animated comic, when this stuff belongs in the show.

I still think 5 had many more great episodes than this season.

Season 5:
-Arrival (great episode)
-Mortal (great episode)
-Hidden (great episode)
-Splinter (great episode)
-Solitude (great episode)
-Lexmas (damn good episode)
-Lockdown (was a decent episode)
-Mercy (great episode)
-Fade (was a decent episode)
-Oracle (great episode)

Season 6:
-Zod (was decent, but could have been better)
-Arrow (was decent, but could have been better)
-Fallout (was decent, but could have been better)
-Hydro (was decent, but could have been better)
-Labyrinth (great episode)
-Crmson (great episode)
-Trespass (was decent, but could have been better)
-Freak (great episode)
-Combat (great episode)
-Nemesis (great episode)

I'm guessing the writers have been watching a certain new show on Monday nights to get tips on continuity and interesting storylines...

Yeah, this is Smallville at it's best, this is the best season ever, I hope it continues.

this end run is great, and even noir won't be the end of the world for me, cause at least it admits its filler with a dream sequence.

however, truth, memoria, et al...that was a good run too.

Personally I thought last night's epi was a tad bit boring. Not saying I didn't like it though.

Isn't a former producer/writer of Smallville now working on that show?
