I know, wishful thinking, but it's justified.
Clark looked really taken aback when he heard that Lana was just going to let Lex die. do you think it will change how he thinks about lana? Becasue clark truely believes that no one deserves to die, if it can be helped. Even though he has been hesitating to save lex lately, he always does, because he knows it's the right thing to do. He knows it's not his choice to make, and if he can prevent it, he will and does. but lana knew full-well how to get lex out of there, but didn't say anything until she found out clark was there also. And now that Clark knows this, do you think his opinion will of lana will begin to change? will this maybe be the begining of an end to his life-long infatuation with her, so he can finally move on?
what does everyone think?

I don't think his opinion will change. He will probably understand why she felt that way.

I think his opinion is changing...when he mentioned that maybe Lana didnt get forced to marry Lex...I am not really sure because he seems confused too. She just seems like she is going crazy with her anger.

I think his opinion will start to change, because no matter how bad, he feels no one should be killed (look how bad he felt when he killed the phantom wrestler even though he would of killed Clark). I think (?) he knows Lana has killed before, but never on purpose. I don't think the writers can have him go on with complete feelings for Lana, knowing what she was going to do.
(What is Lana's body count up to?)

His feeling for Lana must and will change, if he is to move on to his destiny as Superman, she is part of his Smallville past, and by now an unhappy memory, Lex has accomplished one thing, the corruption of Lana Lang, she is a true Luthor, she had to become for her life and sanity, but her degradation was her fault as much as Lex. When she became involved with Lex she cheapen herself and betrayed Clark's love, Lex soiled and tainted her, she is no longer the girl that Clark loved, and she never will be again. For a while yet Clark will regret the way things worked out between him and Lana, but Lana will regret it for the rest of her life.

I think he's just wondering what Lex has done to her that Lana is willing to go that far.Once he finds out about the horrible things Lex did to Lana he will understand her actions.

What was it Martha said? That Clark's greatest weakness is his hope. Despite all that's happened with Lex (and God knows he doesn't know everything that's been going on at 33.1), plus Lex's life threats against Chloe, he still holds hope that he can be a good guy.
With that, what does he hold onto about Lana? His hope that she is the girl in his eyes. Clearly this ep showed the dark side of Lana, whether it's because she's embraced what it means to be a Luthor, or whether it was there all along. I think as Clark clears his vision and see the real Ms Lang, his feelings may be forced to change. She ain't the girl he thinks she is....

Very true. Clark and Lana are indeed moving towards the way they are as adults in the comics, where Clark has moved on with his life, while she still regrets what happened and always will.
Looking back on the Lana from the early seasons to the current Lana, Lex had DEFINITELY changed her. She has gone from a somewhat awkward young girl to a dark woman, desperate to escape from the marriage she was lured into.

Clark's feelings will change allright especially when he finds out the real reason why Lana married Lex....to protect him.
