Lana's Full Quote:

"Doctor, if my husband doesn’t survive, the man lying in that room is the only family I have left.”

Uh excuse me Lana...what about Aunt Nell???

well, the doctors didn't need to know that. she was just trying to get in.

oh, but the minute she said that, i knew she was up to something devious. teehee.

SGMD, I think you missed the point of that line. Maryjane is correct, she was telling half-truths and half-false. if that makes any sense.

She was lying to get the doctor to agree to let her in the room.

Rather, I would say that Lana "finessed" the doctor into letting her in the room.

So based on that, Chloe (who poisoned Clark last week with Kryptonite, shot a grenade at Lex last week, and said she'd let Lex die down in the tunnels last night) is what - a member of the Manson family?

I dont recall Chloe sayin she would have let Lex die in the tunnels, I know she told Clark that Lana was gonna, but Ill have to watch it again.

Chloe was being controlled by her mother when she doped Clark with Kryptonite and shot at Lex. Do you honestly think a fully cognizant Chloe would have done those things? Of course not. What about when Lana attacked Clark in China and they battled for one of the three stones? Do you think it was Lana's fault that she was possessed by Isobel? Let's stop being silly about this subject.

As for Chloe leaving Lex to die in the tunnels, she certainly has good reasons for wanting Lex to die in the tunnels and said as much, but she clearly indicated that despite those feelings she knows it wouldn't be moral to do so. Just look at how she reacted to the knowledge that Lana did not pass along information to the authorities that could have helped save Lex. She was flabbergasted.

Chloe isn't exactly innocent though what about making a deal with Lionel to expose Clark just cause he was with Lana

Just like Lana has grown immensely in the last season so too has Chloe since season three. It should be noted that Chloe immediately regretted her decision to partner with Lionel and did everything possible to get out of the agreement. Consequently, she lost her position at the Planet and her father lost his job because she refused to do cooperate with him.

All of the characters have made made bad decisions in the past, and I think in that regard Clark made the worst decison ever when he purposefully infected himself with Red K and fled to Metropolis.

She most certainly did, that was so smart to play that card

What I love about that line and her delivery is that many on this board complain that Lana is always acting like the victim. Here she acts like the victim to get what she wants. I nice twist.

That was just Lana being evil.. she wasn't being serious.. like she cares that if Lionel dies... I absolutley loved when she said that, so manipulative... I love it!
